Hey Gators!! Here are your SAAC Athletes of the Month! Shout out to Anika Pettinger and Bryce Buchanan!

Anika Pettinger is a fifth-year on the Women’s Track & XC team and has been an outstanding captain and role model for her teammates. Her positive attitude, leadership, and dedication have helped create a supportive and encouraging team environment.

Bryce Buchanan is a junior on the Men’s Basketball team and after overcoming a head injury that sidelined him early in the year, Bryce has shown great resilience and determination. Since returning, he’s made a strong impact both on the court and through his contributions to team chemistry and culture.

Thank you and Congratulations to these amazing Gators! 🐊 💜

Thank you to everyone who showed up, volunteered, and helped us provide food to more than 800 families, shelters, SRO residents, and our unhoused neighbors.

Giving back to our community matters because no one should have to face hunger alone. When we come together, we offer more than a meal we share care, dignity, hope, and a reminder that people are not forgotten.

A special shoutout to @sfstate_mbb for always stepping up when support is needed most. For over 10 years, the SF State Basketball Team and staff have been incredible supporters of The City Eats organization. We appreciate your continued commitment and generosity more than words can say. 🙌🏾🫡💜

Thank you @alpastorpapi415 @senorsisig for your sponsorship towards our meals!

Mathes Klein is a sophomore on the Men’s Basketball team and has faced a lot of adversity throughout his basketball career and has been putting all his effort into carving out his role as a hard-worker and inspiring teammate.

On The City Eats Day, our hearts are filled with gratitude for every supporter, volunteer, partner, and friend who has helped us continue this mission. What started with a desire to feed our community has become so much more…it’s about connection, compassion, and showing people that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

A special thank you to @spicetribe for generously donating food month after month for years and continuing to believe in what we do. To @thehoopbus @hoopbusbay , thank you for bringing the energy, excitement, activities, and smiles that add so much joy to our feeds. And to @sfcityimpact , thank you for opening your doors to us and for the incredible generosity and support of your entire staff.

To our City Eats crew, thank you for showing up time and time again and serving with genuine passion and compassion. Every meal prepared, every hand extended, and every moment spent connecting with our community matters. The City Eats Day is a celebration of all of you and what we can accomplish when a community comes together to care for one another. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. ❤️

Much love to everyone who showed up yesterday for our feed. We appreciate you all. Content coming soon.
