Such an honor to host this year’s Bay Area Rider First awards and an even bigger honor to be awarded 🥹❤️

I LOVE the Rider First awards because it’s a chance to celebrate all the hard work happening to make our region a more affordable, convenient, and equitable place to move and live in. This year I got to celebrate so many of my friends including @carterlavin and @itssindigo for their work on the regional funding measure and onboard harassment prevention, plus @baypassatsjsu for making transit FREE for 40,000 students at SJSU. Plus, I was presented my award by one of our region’s most talented and passionate advocates, BART Board Vice Chair @edwardwrightsf!

The future of Bay Area transit is bright. Proud to have played a tiny part and even more excited to pass the torch 🌁🚎

Honored to have won this Transit Month Rider First Award from @seamlessbayarea & @sftru!!!

As I said in If You Want To Win, You've Got To Fight: A Guide To Effective Transportation Advocacy - the only reason I can do so much is because everything I do, I do with others.

I'm so grateful for our big, growing, rowdy Bay Area transit, bike, and street safety community; and it's an honor to be one of the many, many organizers helping turn that passion into collective power.

We can win our transportation dreams, whether that's big ones like saving our transit system by passing Measure RTM (and H in SF), small ones like getting a bench at a bus stop, or gigantic ones like getting the high-speed rail built sooner & better. We can win if we put in the work to fight hard and fight smart.

Here's to many more years ahead of organizing, growing, collaborating, and being in the fight with all y'all. 💙💙💙

🚌 A walkable San Francisco depends on frequent, reliable public transit.

That’s why we need to vote YES on Measures H and RTM!

If we don’t pass both measures on November 3, transit service will be gutted. We CAN’T let this happen. Being able to get around on foot + transit = essential for SF.

So spread the word to vote YES on H & RTM!

Tag us or send us your video of what transit lines you walk to for our next compilation! 🧡

Over the last 2 years, we've made real progress in filling empty storefronts across District 3 and boosting activity downtown.

We've got a lot more work ahead of us, but this shows what we can do when we stay focused on results, partner with one another, and champion small businesses, public transportation, and neighborhood safety.
