Loving every chance I have to team up with @surfaid, including its first-ever SurfAid Cup in Ventura! Here’s a few snaps from the water of the smiling faces and beautiful wave riding. 🤍

PS- I don’t know all the surfers, please tag them if you do!

Welcome to Logjam! from Big Stick and some more locals! Stoked to see you tomorrow morning.

For anyone looking to connect tonight, stop by Eastside Eatery @eastsideeaterysc from 5:30 on for some music by our Logjam emcee and friend, Don Bostick. Be sure to order a beer from our sponsor: Kona Long Board Beer or 805. And mention Logjam! to your server and Eastside Eatery will donate a portion of their proceeds to Big Stick's Scholarship Fund.

Logable waves and ALOHA! in the forecast. See you soon.

Eight years after going to Nias with @surfaid I was lucky enough to head to the other end of the archipelago recently to see more of their work in the field. Very different islands but the same MO, dedicated humans doing all they can to help others, backed by the generosity of surfers from all over the world.

I’ve written a little piece on the field trip that’s now live on the SurfAid website. I’d love you to have a read, especially if you’ve ever donated to a Surf Aid fundraiser in the past, or could be convinced down the track. Link is in my story.

In Sumba SurfAid operates several demonstration farms with the aim of improving nutrition throughout the villagers living in the area. It’s part of our “hands up not hand out” approach.
Here are a few images from my visit this week to a demonstration farm with our local team and several members of the SurfAid board.
Empowering people to work together as a community is a wonderful thing.

Thanks to the talented Curran Bro's @_timcurran @nathaniel_curran and the ultimate surfing Foo @shifty71 for spending a day surfing in support of SurfAid. Joining them in the water was SurfAid Pro-Vide Auction winner @sgasner. Check out a few pics of this epic day of surfing to save lives and stay tuned for the video edit!
