POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Some glimpses into covering the Clacton by election on Thursday night. In some ways overnight elections are straightforward to cover, but they’re always unpredictable. On Thursday we knew the result well before it was declared, the winner, Nigel Farage didn’t attend the count, and Count Binface finally kept his deposit after many an election. #bbcnews #bts.

Yesterday was the last ever Big Debate Show on the @bbcasiannetwork, though we look forward to all the fun that's still to come in our new show with @ankurdesai_ I can't not pay tribute to the first daily show I've ever worked on, that's taught me so much - with much credit going to powerhouse producers @sej_mostyn and @kirren_rathor

Big love to all the contributors who agreed to come on (often at short notice), the listeners who I learnt so much from speaking to (even when they were angry) and the next level team of lovely presenters, editors and producers who created a show full of discussions you'd never hear anywhere else.

We defo did some crazy things, pulled off some ambitious broadcasts from all sorts of locations and spoke to so many incredible people!! Here's hoping for lots more fun times ahead! 🤗

Starting a new and exciting journey in the afternoons on @bbcasiannetwork next week. Lots more to reveal about the content in the coming days and weeks on a fresh new schedule. 🔥

It’s been a privilege to present the Big Debate/Phone in programme on the Asian Network and an honour to be the final piece of a show which has been groundbreaking and agenda setting for years.

Big ❤️ to the previous presenters and colleagues who have been a key part of the journey for the last 19 years.

A new and exciting chapter begins from Monday 3pm-6pm 🎙

Just been sent this by a friend who is clearing out. Week One @bbc5live in 1999 and made it to the front page of @lancasteruni alumni magazine and somewhere in @the.independent too! #memories #firstjob #networking #journalism
