Sydney’s best loved choir 🌈
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Out & Loud (O&L) is a choral festival for LGBTQIA+ choirs across Australasia and the world. It was created to allow choirs to gather, share experiences, and sing together. With its origins in ‘Camp Music’ which began in Sydney (2001), the festival has been held every 3 to 4 years and is coming to Boorloo (Perth) for the first time in its 25 year history! In the past, over 300 singers gathered in Canberra (2019) and Sydney (2023), representing LGBTQIA+ choirs from Melbourne, Brisbane, Darwin, Sydney, Perth, Canberra, Auckland, USA, Fiji, Tokyo and Timor-Leste. This year over 450 singers have registered to take part in the 5 day festival! Singers join to rehearse, learn new music, and participate in workshops covering musicianship, wellbeing and inclusion. Each choir performs their own repertoire at ‘pop-up’ performances around the city and at the end of festival gala concert, where all choirs come together to perform two original pieces from the O&L song competition, as well as a commissioned work. This year, Out & Loud runs from 16 to 20 November 2026. #perthpridechoir #outandloudchoirs

It's here! The Pride Fest Gala line up is epic and we are SO proud and grateful to share it with you Hosted by the incomparable @jus_hill, this is a star studded line up of musical theatre, opera, dance, comedy, cabaret, drag and more! And we aren't done yet with more performances still to be announced. The Pride Fest Gala is the first ever fundraiser we have hosted for Qtopia Sydney. Our goal is to raise funds to secure the future of Queer storytelling...but what does that mean specifically? These funds will help Qtopia Sydney: 1. Develop new exhibitions 2. Continue to offer subsidised theatre venues 3. And the real heartstring for us all, continue to expand our education program, specifically our regional and rural NSW programs ensuring that students all over the state have access to inclusive education about identity, leadership, pride, allyship and advocacy. We are so grateful to all of these Artists who are donating their time and talent to be part of the Gala. As well as a fundraiser, it is a fabulous taster of the festival - a chance to see so many great Acts that will be on throughout the month. Tickets are $65 and the Gala is at The Eternity Theatre on June 2nd at 7pm We can't wait to see you there - tickets at the link bio or https://tickets.qtopiasydney.com.au/Events/Pride-Fest-Gala-Performance
