17 for Lyla’s 17th

1. Tiny Tuesday has arrived, her life is complete.

2. She has perfected the art of FaceTiming me from the other room to ask me to bring her something she could get up and get herself.

3.. She might not know how to use the dishwasher, but she can tell you what the UV is for the next two weeks.

4. She won the birth-time pool by guessing Cooper wouid be born at 11/11 at 11:11. She was 5 minutes off.

5. She makes friends with people of all ages…her new bestie works the graveyard shift at Dunkin’ Donuts.

6. So many ER visits we stopped counting…it started with a mishap with a Border Collie and a Tik Tok dance gone wrong.

7. She ignores the family group chat and only chimes in to make sure we all know how stupid we sound.

8. She might be the youngest sibling, but she takes on the role of the coolest. Tyler refers to her as “the Queen”

9. She’s always collecting something, these days you can usually find her buried under a pile of Jellycats.

10. It doesn’t matter if I buy everything on her list…”we never have anything to eat in this house” I finally solved this problem by letting her shop for herself….might be best decision I ever made.

11. Lyla has so many friends in and out of the house Mike can’t keep them straight. (let’s save Mike from these awkward moments and just casually start showing up with nametags on)

12. Yes, she would love to go out to eat, but when she is done eating….she is done…no small talk…we are leaving….time to go!

13. She refused to brush her hair as a kid and now could open her own store with all her hair products…Proof that you really have no idea what will happen.

14. Matty no longer needs to go shopping when she needs a new outfit, she just shops in Lyla’s room.

15. Lyla had an amazing group of seniors who took her under their wing. Now she’s paying it forward with her own group of younger girls.

16. Lyla seeks joy like it’s her job and has no problem asking me for my apple pay to make it happen.

17. She still refers to me as Becky instead of mom and swears I’m weird, but when her friends meet me they say “I see where you get it from” so you do the math…

Help us Live Like Keira and help families in need.

Mike and Lyla are heading back to Mexico with @freedompointcov and @bajaboundbuilds to help some very deserving families.

It is always an honor to go be a part of this.

Last time we were able to raise enough money for beds and bedding which was a nice addition for their new home.

This year we want to help two families with beds or water tanks or both.
