This is where we are right now. I am getting an MRI to test Multiple Sclerosis due to evident nerve damage on my right side. They also have to rule out it being a tumor because those symptoms tend to mimic one another. Luckily my doctor says that he isn't fully convinced of the later. I could potentially have Cervical Spinal Stenosis that has already caused nerve damage, which will also be scanned. So for right now it is a big question mark. If all of these are negative, we are looking at a severe case of Fibromyalgia. My feelings right now are very complicated, but at the same time I feel validated. I would convince myself I was going crazy and what if it is in my head. But now we know that it is real, it is on paper. Now we can move forward and see what happens.

Dr. Bu here with a remarkable uodate!👨🏼‍🔬💉 Happy to report my Hooman Sister/ Patient is back at Disneyland today singing and performing for the first time since her accident last Feb. 👱🏼‍♀️🎼🎤 I have nursed her back to health with lots of kisses and love.👅👅👅 I have encouraged her therapy by making her get up to find me my squirrels 🐿, fill the occasional water bowl when I bark 💦, and chase me when I am bothering her kitty. 🐈😡( all part of my therapy plan!) wink wink. .
My continued nursing plan consists of lots of outings and walking🚶🏼‍♀️🐕, where she will be so distracted by taking videos of me 📸🐕, she won’t even know how far she has walked! We have theme park training, beach days 🏖, and an annual trip to Florida 🌴that are all on my prescription pad! .
So happy to see my patient on the stage where she belongs!💙💙💙 .

Soooo....have you recovered? <unrestrained eye roll> The first YEAR after my thyroidectomy I couldn’t leave the house. Year 2 was an emotional dumpster fire. Year 3 I finally accepted there is no going back, there is only new normal. Now, three months into year 4, I’m finally making progress in that direction. But have I recovered? Nope. You don’t actually recover from thyroid and endocrine cancers, you just learn to live with it. Work around it.
Best advice ever? Find your tribe. Surround yourself with people who get it. People who help you celebrate progress. It makes a huge difference. @crossfitvashon
