God gave me signs 3 years prior and the morning of the pregnancy test 🤍 I always knew in my heart!

The fireworks scared the living daylights out of me lol that’s why I was so startled in the beginning 😂 (thanks dad)

Also special s/o to my parents and sister. They were the masterminds behind the gender reveal.. forever grateful for them!

Please don’t mind us, we were going through all the emotions. We cried, laughed, cried and laughed some more. Honestly just in true disbelief that God had ended our 4 years of infertility with a miracle 🙌🏿

Journey to Baby Holmes 🤍 | Part 3: Baby Holmes

After two unsuccessful IUIs, we went into IUI #3.

But this time, I decided to do something different.

Instead of constantly thinking about the outcome, counting down the days, analyzing every symptom, and wondering “Did it work?”… I tried to simply be present in my life.

I prayed. I lived. I enjoyed my husband. I kept moving.
And then the two-week wait came… and went.

One Saturday morning, after my husband left, I decided to take a pregnancy test.

And it was POSITIVE.

I immediately went numb.

I can’t fully explain what happened in that room, but I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit so strongly. I started crying, and all I could do was thank God.

Over and over again.
“Thank You, Jesus.
Thank You, Jesus.
Thank You, Jesus.”

After four years of waiting, praying, disappointment, uncertainty, and quietly believing for this moment…

God answered our prayer. 🤍

Our journey to Baby Holmes wasn’t the journey I imagined, but every hill, every valley, every tear, every appointment, every needle, every negative test, and every moment of waiting led us here.

And now, I’m so grateful that I get to share this testimony.

If you are currently in a waiting season, I pray our story reminds you that you can keep believing even when you don’t know how the story will end.

Your waiting season may look different from ours. Your answer may come differently than you imagined. But I pray you continue to trust God in the unknown.

3 years, 9 semesters, 615 clinical hours, 600 project dissemination hours, 50+ exams, 2 OSCEs, and 1,000+ patient encounters later… and I am now FINISHED!

On August 10th, I will walk across the stage, receive my doctoral hood, and officially be a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner 👩🏽‍⚕️🩷🩺

Since even before 2016, I knew that I wanted be a women’s health provider. And I have been actively working toward that goal ever since. This journey has been everything but easy. I was a full-time student working as a full-time nurse. So many sleepless nights, exhausting mornings, and times where I felt so overwhelmed with competing priorities and deadlines that I questioned if I could make it. But GOD! HE has been soo faithful, I am AMAZED at all the opportunities He has blessed me with during my academic career and just life in general. I give ALL glory to Him.

I’m amazed at how much I’ve progressed, the patients I have impacted, the skills that I have learned, and the connections I made. I’ve always been a servant leader. And now I get to serve women across the lifespan with all their health care needs.
I am forever grateful 🙏🏾
