HairBesties, Does this scare you?

Lifting dark hair before a direct dye service takes patience.

I start with a low developer, such as 5-6vol, then move to 10vol and finish with 20vol as I work through my foils. Adjusting the developer throughout the application helps me manage processing time and work toward an even lift without feeling rushed. Always consider the hair’s condition and follow your lightener’s directions. Low and slow is my approach!

I also add @olaplex No.1 to my lightener and compatible color formulas to help protect the hair’s bonds throughout the service.

The result? This gorgeous blue-and-black look on my client and friend @shadyondeck

I love creating this shattered textured haircut on my client @shadyondeck I added lots of layers and deep point cuts to bring out body and movement using the new #PhoenixRisingShears with the Ball-Tip.
I added @olaplex no1 to the color to rebuild the bonds of her hair to keep it strong and healthy.

I used all #GuyTang #SuperPower direct dyes
1️⃣NightWarrior + Blue Mystique on rootàge
2️⃣BlueMystique in the midshaft
3️⃣NightWarrior on ends
All with @olaplex no1 and GuyTang #MyHero Collagen Powder
After rinse out, treat the hair with #olaplex no2 and then shampoo and condition with GuyTang MyHero Nourishing line with the Collgen repair spray in between. Finish with spraying the collagen shield spray and leaving on ends and style.
