POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is Big Mood Studio. Officially. Completely.

She said story-led branding and she meant it!

Every color, every icon, small details you might not even notice, every little detail has a piece of my story woven into it. The nostalgia. The memories. The things that make me, me. And somehow @brightencreativeco took all of that and turned it into something I genuinely cannot stop staring at.

New offers, new announcements, and a whole lot of showing TF up are coming your way - consider this your warning.

Stay tuned it’s about to get really fun around here!

Branding by the incredibly talented (and also my new friend 🤓) @brightencreativeco

Doing things “differently” can sometimes feel lonely and can sometimes make us feel uncertain when people who live the muggle life make weird comments or regularly send you job openings or say things like “when you go back to work for someone” or ask you “how your little business is going” but imma choose to keep pushing because we only get ONE life ya‘ll. ONE life… and I be damned if I spend it stuck in a concrete building where I can’t even go to the bathroom if I need to or where I can’t take off work to help my family or where I only get two days of vacation or where I’m not respected and appreciated.

(Lowkey I do miss teaching children though- every day of my life.) 😩

Okay peace! ✌🏼

“The right people hear you differently.” I read that this morning and though there have been times where myself and the decisions I’ve made have been misunderstood, there’s a real sense of peace with these humans.

Part of what I have based my business on is hair AND human care—and I care a fucking ton. About the people in my chair, but also the people I work alongside. Having people who don’t just ask what I can do for them but also make me pause and they say, “hey, let me help you.” They give grace for grace given.

Maybe it’s cancer season, maybe I’m in a better headspace because I found a house, maybe I’m just a little sentimental and have a lot of gratitude—who’s to say? I don’t know, I’m distracting with humor now, so I’ll just say this: your people are out there, I promise.

Thank you @pink_house_alchemy for partnering with us for our Thai Dinner fundraiser! And thanks to all who came out to taste the Thai dishes our student travelers prepared Sunday evening. We helped us raise over $1K for YGCNWA student travelers to experience authentic conservation research and become leaders in science. Let’s do it again soon!

My last hair color of 2021 is a pretty magical one, I’m ngl. The combo of vivid and natural is everything and a half.

I’ve now slept approximately 18 hours and will probably sleep many more. Happy holiday time (if that’s your thing)
