My favorite day of the season… Miss Mid-South BBQ Festival! 👑

As many of you know, last year I took on leading with pageant with Alysha to support our middle school cheer program, that I was once part of. This year was our second year and we already have plans to amp it up for 2027! I’m so excited for our 8 new queens to represent at the festival, Christmas parade, and wherever their hearts take them!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to make this day run! It takes a village, and we couldn’t do it without you! I love getting to be on this side of the pageant world and reminding girls that they are already winners by stepping on stage 🍂🤍

As I sit here, collecting photos from my 10 years of cheer, I'm just at a loss for words. Being in cheerleading for this long has not just made me an athlete, but a teammate and a friend. Working towards the goal of nationals has given me a drive I am so grateful for. The passion of pursuit I have gained from all my experiences in cheer will stay with me long beyond the mat. The friendships I have made go past any stunt group or big-and-little connection to true sisterhood. The only thing that comes to mind truly is saying thank you. Thank you to my teammates who pushed me further, to the coaches who believed in the potential I have, to my family for pouring hours of time, gas, and money into me, and to the God who powered me through it all. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. This isn't the end of cheer for me, though. This may be the end of my appearances on the mat, but it is not then of my love for this sport. I am proud to have been on the teams I have been on, and I am proud to call these girls and coaches my family. I love you all, and I will always keep the memories of cheer close to my heart. So, for the last time, Go Bears, Go Trojans, and go team. This is Alyssa- aka "Aly" or "motions master" or "your biggie"- signing out.
