We were given the rare chance to create postcards for Sana Sinabi Mo, a film that spoke to our hearts and reminded us why stories matter. To be entrusted by the director with printing film stills is more than an honor; it is a moment we will never forget. 💌

This is pure fan service, not for sale.

At Marry Mail, we believe love deserves to be remembered beautifully. Postcards, letters, keepsakes, they are proof that connection travels beyond distance. They are something you hold, something you share, something you cherish. Even from the other side of the world, love finds its way. ✨

And let us be clear: love is beyond genders. Love is for all. It is universal, it is human, and it deserves protection. That is why we say, with conviction, PASS THE SOGIE BILL NOW. 🏳️‍🌈✊

Because to remember love beautifully is also to fight for a world where every kind of love is seen, honored, and cherished.

Sana Sinabi Mo
by @shai.aantonio Shaira Advincula
Anyway, watch now sa @netflixph

Sana Sinabi Mo (I Wish You Had Told Me) succeeds in exploring how religion & culture shape our identity & freedom. The premise, taking inspiration from writer-director Shaira Advincula’s personal history, revolves around the aftermath of Otep’s death where his son Seph (Juan Karlos Labajo) finds out that his father was gay. He also unearths a trove of Otep’s love letters to a pen pal from Spain. The result is a tender, bittersweet journey of reconciling with his father’s true identity while grappling with his own religious beliefs.

JK Labajo shines as the lead. The film’s treatment of how a conservative Filipino environment influences lives, for better or for worse, remains emotionally nuanced. It respects religion but focuses on how it can be weaponized by people for their own advantage. JC Santos is as reliable as ever, capturing Otep’s unfulfilled emotional life effectively. The story also exposes how hidden lives have life-altering consequences. Faith leaders who turn divine teachings into vessels of shame is a timely commentary.

Its reflective tone makes it a cut above the rest among other local streaming releases. Filipino films nowadays tend to pick a location abroad to heighten its appeal but few integrate these into the plot & actually make it work. Andalucia, Spain is maximized & the Medinilla magnifica scene is a cathartic highlight. It showcases Juan Karlos Labajo capturing Seph’s confusion, grief, & inner turmoil.

Minor spoilers ahead. My only criticism is that the subplot involving RK Bagatsing’s Marlon feels undercooked yet the resolution near the end with Xyriel Manabat is a fitting portrayal of female rage. The pacing is a hit or miss, yet the conclusion is a comforting payoff. At first, I felt that the dancing sequence needed to showcase an Old Otep or a Young Rum—before realizing that Young Otep fits the best, giving closure to his younger self who was forced to freeze his desires in exchange for survival. The act of creating this deeply personal film is a triumph itself. May we love freely in this lifetime.

2025, Iba ka!

10 years ago, Direk Wenn De Ramas watched our closing show of Carlo Vergara’ Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady, directed by Chris Martinez, where I played a villain DOG in Team Kayumanggilas. Pagkatapos ng palabas na ’yon, I suddenly found myself invited to a taping the next day — playing a co-worker of Carlo Aquino in their afternoon teleserye, Flor de Lisa.

I never saw myself doing screen work. Kaya nag-stay ako sa entablado after that. Lumugar ako. I never even dreamed of acting for the screen kasi feeling ko pang-magaganda lang ang kamera.

But I guess God and the universe had a different plan.

Sabi ni Rainer Maria Rilke:
“The point is to live everything. Live the questions now… one day you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”

Multimedia work is tough. It takes love — real love — to survive it. As for me, I’ve had an endless love-and-hate relationship with screen acting. Pero hey, after 10 years of playing different roles for TV and film… sana naman healthy ang relationship namin.

2025 marks my 10th year acting for the screen
and 20 years for the stage.
68 multimedia works (wow, nag-IMDb) and many plays— I never stopped, not even when the pandemic hit.

Film and television will always be a writer’s and director’s medium. And the truth is: I’m still here because of great people who believed in what I can offer to their work. And that is enough to keep me going. To keep me inspired. To keep me grateful.

Lalu kana, Direk Wenn! Yakap in heaven.

written and directed by Shai Advincula-Antonio @shai.aantonio

“Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going.
No feeling is final.” -Rilke (Yes, Idol ko siya)

PS 2026 might be the first year I write and direct. Stage or screen — we’ll see.
