Fundamentals for a .308? Same same but different.

Been having a lot fun on the range recently in between classes but always learning. Got back on the carbine after shooting the .308 and reinforced how little input is needed to manage recoil.

HOW WAS YOUR TRAINING THIS WEEKEND?

We ran a full schedule at AHT, putting in serious work across multiple classes in multiple states, and now we want to hear what you accomplished—what you trained, what you tested, and whether you pushed into areas that exposed weakness or stayed inside what you already do well.

For those of you getting after it, here are some partner discounts to support your training:

B L I N D S P O T S.

Danger doesn’t always announce itself so obviously. True competence doesn’t require appearing intimidating.

The moment we assume someone is “less capable” is the very instant we surrender our awareness. In conflict; whether physical, mental, or situational, our faulty assumptions create “blind spots.”

Principally speaking, there are what I call “Safe Assumptions”. One of which is, “Always overestimate your opponents capability.” Not out of paranoia, but from a place of humility, self-discipline, and respect for the grim reality of violent encounters. Encounters that are sudden, proximal and dynamic in nature.

Awareness precedes survival and survival favors the prepared.

Where have assumptions cost people dearly on and/or off the mat? Comment below. ⬇️

2025 | YEAR IN REVIEW — ACHILLES HEEL TACTICAL

2025 was a year defined by growth, purpose, and execution—driven by a mission that guides everything we do.

We believe education should never be out of reach.
Our mission is to foster a more accountable, prepared, and skilled community by making education accessible for all.

Our CADRE executed:
• 147 training events worldwide
• Over 2,200 law enforcement, military, and responsibly armed citizens trained
• 22 U.S. states | 2 countries | 1 U.S. province traveled

Across every class and every location, our focus remained constant: developing shooters to be confident and capable of performing on demand.

When people are trained, they’re capable.
When they’re capable, they’re confident.
When they’re confident, they can perform on demand.

To our students, hosts, partners, and supporters—thank you for trusting us. Your commitment to improvement enables us to continue raising the standard.

2026 is already in motion—and the standard continues to rise.
