POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Throwback Thursday!

As we reminisce on DELUXE, we’re taking a moment to celebrate Fishscales, a dynamic work choreographed by Shane Larson early Spring 2026. We have had the pleasure to show case this work many times this year! Through intricate storytelling, physicality, and projected text, Fishscales brought a distinctive energy as well as a personal piece of art to the stage.

A memorable piece from an unforgettable evening and creative process.

SUPR OMEN presents for Risking Boredom, a one-off Halloween performance on October 31.

Holly Sass will be facilitating a gathering of around 10 performers of various mediums (clown, dance, acting, sound) for an improvised show.
@beccsmusic @the_elbowless_hug @jjjjacobiiii @lizhasinstagram @shanelarson @mowglilolimo @_razmus @gbn______________ @suzmurrayy @jemila_macewan @h0llysass

They’ll meet the day before and the day of the show to scheme, play, and find some anchors, and then they will try, in front of you, with you. Some of them know each other, some of them don’t. It’s possible one of them has never been on stage before. There will be opportunities for the audience to help shape the arc. The performers don’t know what will happen but maybe you do.

Show begins at 7pm with runtime about an hour.

Proceeds will go directly to supporting our friend Mahmoud’s family in Gaza, who continues to suffer from Israel’s genocidal oppression. Family members have recently been attacked and need urgent medical care. The financial support needed is constant, this fundraiser serves as the tip of the iceberg. Yet, anything and everything helps. More info on Mahmoud’s family here: https://ko-fi.com/gazafundraiser.

Risking Boredom is followed by Karaoke TV: HALLOWEEN EDITION. We’re joining forces with analog visual benders Telepathy for a Halloween Karaoke Party from 9pm till late. Stay and sing a song with us —>

Doomed is out today on Does Are

Available on LP/CD/cassette via Bandcamp, and streaming on DSPs.

Shop distro though Revolver USA, and if you’re local NYC you can also hit me up.

Hitting the road in US and Canada in mid October, come say hi and enjoy the shows.

Special thank you to Julia Antinozzi, Doug Poole, Spencer Gilley, Jonny Schenke (mix and mastering), Matthew Fisher (artwork), Edwin M. White, Zoe Freilich, Valerie Kamen, and the community and staff at the Joyce NYCCD.

This is the “bathroom break selfie” I took at work to try out Matthew Fisher’s silhouette idea for the front cover. Fisher has blessed me with his beautiful artwork for the second album in a row, pulling from his vast collection of gorgeous visions. Matt has been a friend of me and my brother Edwin for over a decade now, and he has long been an inspiring and encouraging presence in our artistic practice. I am incredibly grateful for his collaborations. As a primarily musical artist, I have found it to be a special and unexpected thing to begin to “see” my work (as I am making it) *within* the visual language of someone else’s creations, but this is what my heart and brain have been feeding me with these last two albums with regards to Fisher’s artwork.

Here I am, pleased, sittin in the sun at Village View playground, enjoying the nice weather, happy to be handling wax. Self-releasing these last two Andy Boay LPs has been a very validating, empowering, and often exhausting experience that I would encourage anyone to do if you can scrape together the pressing costs (and a shelf or two to store your stock). Getting a decent label-printer was a game changer for mailorder packing. Thanks to Valerie my fianceé for taking these portraits of me muggin.

I recorded Doomed on my Tascam 688 Midistudio, an 8-track cassette multitrack recorder. This machine lived in Orlando at my brother’s house for most of the last ten years, and I occasionally recorded Tonstartss jam sessions on it. The last solo album I put out in 2025 was recorded on my previous NYC cassette machine, the Yamaha MT8X, which is a great unit but much more limited than the Tascam 688. A couple of years ago I moved the Tascam up to
