experimenting with a new post style (long caption warning ⚠️ ) Latest reads: -The Gilded Crown 👑: Loved the world building and the magic system. The main character is a necromancer which isn’t necessarily a new concept, but the way it was written was enjoyable to read. The plot was also really fast-paced and didn’t have any parts that felt like filler. Bonus points because the book addresses complex platonic relationships. It kind of reminds me of “The Priory of the Orange Tree”-very dark and dreamy 4.5/5 ⭐️ -Ruthless Vows💙: This is a sequel to “Divine Rivals” and it pretty much picks up where it left off. It’s a little different in that there’s a lot more world building here and less of a focus on the main two characters. It seems a little like there was a struggle balancing the fantasy and romance aspect of this book, and I feel like the pacing was definitely a lot slower than it should’ve been. I might be bitter because one of my favorite characters died at the end though🥲 3.5/5⭐️ On top of getting back into reading I also got surprised with a visit to an in-home museum (I was literally told to dress nice and get in a car💀). It was worth it though. Miriam’s collection of wearable fine art and the stories she had behind every piece she’s made was so inspiring. So inspiring I finally decided to alter the skirt I’d thrifted from thrift con like three weeks back😌 🏷️: #bookstagram #photodump❤️ #idkhowtocategorizethis
