This footage captures 22-year-old German-Israeli Shani Louk dancing joyfully at the Nova Music Festival, shortly before Ham*s terrorists launched their murderous October 7 attack.

Tragically, some of the last images the world saw of Shani were horrifying.

Ham*s terrorists dragged her lifeless body like a rag doll, threw her into the back of a pickup truck, sat on her body, and allowed crowds to spit on her and celebrate.

The Associated Press later honored a photograph of that horrific scene, taken by a Gaza-based photographer, with a 2024 photography award.

But today, Israel closed the circle.

The IDF announced the elimination of Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zabaq, identified as a ringleader in Shani’s abduction, in an Israeli airstrike in Jabalia, northern Gaza. Israeli reports indicate that the entire terrorist group involved in her abduction, including the driver, has now been eliminated.

Shani deserves to be remembered for so much more than the horrific images of her death.

She was a beautiful, free-spirited young woman who loved music, dancing, and life.

This video captures one of her final moments of freedom, dancing without a care in the world, unaware of the unimaginable horror that was about to unfold.

The terrorists stole her future, but they do not get to define her memory.

ELIMINATED: Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zabaq, a Hamas terrorist involved in the brutal abduction and murder of Shani Louk during the October 7 massacre.

After murdering her, Hamas terrorists paraded her naked body through the streets of Gaza in a horrifying display of celebration. Footage of the atrocity spread around the world.

Al-Zabaq recently worked to rebuild Hamas’ military capabilities and plan attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops, in violation of the ceasefire.

The IDF will continue to protect the people of Israel and act against those who threaten their safety.

🎯 ELIMINATED: Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zabaq, a terrorist in Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades, who invaded Israel during the October 7 massacre and participated in the kidnapping of Shani Louk’s body.

Recently, Al-Zabaq advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and was working to restore Hamas’s capabilities. He was eliminated in a precision airstrike yesterday to neutralize the threat.

The IDF will continue to hunt down and hold accountable every terrorist who participated in the October 7 attack and to address any imminent threats.

The IDF and Shin Bet announced that Tamer Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Zabaq, a Ham*s terrorist identified as a ringleader in the abduction of Shani Louk during the October 7 massacre, was eliminated Monday in an Israeli airstrike in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza.

Al-Zabaq was also identified in reports as the terrorist who sat on Shani’s lifeless body as Hamas terrorists drove through Gaza, publicly parading her corpse in the back of a pickup truck.

According to reports, his elimination closes the circle, with the entire group involved in abducting Shani and transporting her body into Gaza, including the pickup truck driver, now eliminated.

Shani Louk, 22, was a German-Israeli tattoo artist who grew up in Moshav Srigim, near Jerusalem, and later lived in Tel Aviv.

She was attending the Nova Music Festival near Re’im on October 7, 2023, when Ham*s terrorists launched their deadly assault.

Shani was murdered, and horrifying footage of terrorists parading her body through Gaza became one of the most recognizable images of the October 7 atrocities.

For weeks, her family desperately hoped she might still be alive. Her death was confirmed later that month, and Israeli forces recovered her remains from Gaza in May 2024.

More than three years after the massacre, Israel has reportedly eliminated every member of the group responsible for one of October 7’s most haunting atrocities.

I got one of Shani Louk's tattoo designs today. Since she had recognizable shin tattoos, I thought it was fitting for her design to be on my shin. I feel connected to her because we share the same birthday day, February 7. It helps to have an incredible tattoo artist for a nephew @_jesstattoos.

שני לוק הייתה אמנית קעקועים ונפש חופשייה שמוזיקה, יצירה וריקוד היו חלק גדול מהחיים שלה. היא אהבה את חיי הלילה של תל אביב ויפו, ובשנה האחרונה לחייה נסעה מפסטיבל לפסטיבל ברחבי אירופה ומקסיקו. בפסטיבל בקרואטיה היא גם הכירה את בן זוגה, אוריון הרננדס, ויחד הם המשיכו לרקוד בפסטיבלים נוספים ברחבי העולם. אחד החלומות שלה היה גם לעצב תפאורות לפסטיבלים.

ב-7 באוקטובר שני הגיעה לנובה עם אוריון וחברם קשת קסרוטי. כשהחלה המתקפה הם ניסו להימלט מהמסיבה. שני וקשת נרצחו, אוריון נחטף לעזה ונרצח גם הוא.

התיעוד של שני מאותו בוקר הפך בעל כורחה לאחד הסמלים המזוהים ביותר עם הטבח. אבל מאחורי התמונה שהעולם כולו הכיר הייתה צעירה בת 22 שאהבה ליצור, לטייל, מוזיקה ובעיקר לרקוד. במאי 2024, יותר משבעה חודשים לאחר שנרצחה, גופתה הושבה לישראל והיא הובאה למנוחות.

אנחנו בוחרים לזכור את שני כמו שהיא הייתה בחייה - חופשייה, יוצרת, מחייכת ורוקדת.

Today, October 7, I stood in the places where the atrocities of 7/10 unfolded, where people were murdered, raped and abducted.

I stood with the family and friends of brave, talented, handsome, loving, British born and bred, @jakeymproject, who made Aliya becoming a citizen of a country he knew was his souls land, where he was brutally murdered trying to save people….an act of heroism because he was Jewish.

I met a man who was on his way to the festival that morning. His car broke down en route.

That breakdown saved his life and those he travelled with, but on that day, he lost more than a dozen friends including the dancing angel @shanilouk_memory

And Roi, who travelled to a party, danced all night and returned home barely, without 3 of his friends…

Standing there, hearing stories like this, the enormity of what happened becomes almost impossible to process. Behind the 1200 lost lives, taken too soon there is a family, friendships whose lives are forever changed.

Sometimes bearing witness is more than our nervous system can hold.
When the overwhelm hits:
Feel your feet firmly on the ground.
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Notice five things you can see.
Slow your breathing, making your exhale longer than your inhale.

You don’t have to process everything in the moment.

Witness. Breathe. Ground. Rest.

Remembering matters, and so does caring for the body that carries the remembering. 🇮🇱
