What actually happens at Ecstatic Dance?

This.

Every Sunday, people of all ages gather to move—not because they know how to dance, but because movement is one of the oldest ways we reconnect with ourselves and each other.

No choreography.
No alcohol or substances.
No talking on the dance floor.
No expectation to perform.

Just music, movement, and a community that welcomes you exactly as you are.

Some people come to sweat.
Some come to process emotions.
Some come to celebrate.
Some simply come because it's the one place each week where they can be fully themselves.

You don't need rhythm.
You don't need experience.
You don't even need to know what to expect.

Just come with an open mind and a willingness to explore.

If you've been curious about what Ecstatic Dance is—or wondering if it's for you—we'd love to welcome you.

📍 Sundays in Kīlauea
🕚 New Dancer Orientation: 11:00 AM
💃 Dance begins at 12:00 PM
🥗 Community potluck afterward

First time? We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience Ecstatic Dance before deciding if it's for them. That's why every first Sunday of the month, first-time dancers are invited to attend free of charge (or you're welcome to make a donation if you feel called).

Come once.
The rest will make sense on the dance floor.

🎵 Music: "Indus" by Mah Ze Tar, Peace Sine & Dros

In the heart of Kauai’s fertile farmlands we will nourish our spirits with the gift of music and our bodies with farm-to-table freshness. Grounding in the creative mango groves of the island’s largest, most biodiverse farm, we open a unique container for deepening sensitivity.

This is a time for space, when people can listen to all that is being communicated to them through the blessing of music.

Join our intimate container to celebrate the Autumn Equinox with a digital detox this September 19-21.

In a world saturated with electronic music, social media, algorithms and artificial intelligence, we open an experience in returning to our primal roots and bringing them forward in time. Come celebrate the Equinox with a Digital Detox on the farm, where Acoustic Improv meets Ecstatic Dance.

This is NOT a music festival and it is more than a retreat. The Unplugged immersion is about connecting to the land with farm-to-table meals, indulging in a self-care spa experience and celebrating with in-the-moment music and movement. This is rare chance for musicians, healers, dancers and performers of all experience levels to immerse themselves among peers and invest in their creative journey.

Co-Created with Saisha @travelinroots, Craig Denham @craigthemusician, Amber Lily @missamberlily, Pua La’a, and Lauren Chu @mermaidsoluna
