Often in the past we close the week after Swiss Days for some maintenance, as well as time for us to get our feet back under us after a busy summer. We will be closed this week, September 9th-12th. We will re-open again with our regular business hours starting on September 16th. We hope to see you then!

She is truly the best mom (and wife) we could have ever asked for. She had a hug that could cure anything. She believed in us with her whole soul. It’s been two years mommy, we miss you, and we will not stop trying to be the best we can be, because you never doubted our potential, not ever. 🤍

Midway is one of the best places to be on a Saturday. Quaint, yet hustle and bustle…but in the best way! An amazing farmers market (@midwayfarmersmarket ), the cutest shops, and some great eateries. Come, sit, eat a cinnamon roll, laugh, talk, and have the best Saturday!

When we were trying to buy our building, a man from the bank asked us about our dad’s specific involvement-what it was that he did with the bakery?! I think he expected a short response, but he did not know what he was asking for. We wrote an email back specifying what my dad did for us, and that simply could not be kept to a minimum. It wouldn’t be true. Our dad is the backbone of the Bakery. From winterizing the food truck, to driving many miles to get us hundreds of pounds of flour, to checking in after hours to make sure everyone is safe, to fixing the most random of our problems, to being the hug we needed when we broke down crying; our dad is the most underrated part of this operation we run over here! We miss our mom every day, and we know that she is proud and thankful for the dad that he shows up to be, continuously. Thanks daddy, we love you.

The sourdough class schedule for the rest of this year is listed below.

July (no class this month)
August 20
September 17
October 22
November 12
December (no class this month)

All classes start at 6:00 pm and run until about 7:30 pm. Classes cost $100/person. Please DM, call, or come in to reserve your spot. Payment will be required to place reservation. Once booked, classes are non-refundable.

We have had many requests for sourdough classes. We are excited to share! Our mom loved sharing this skill, specifically, with anyone who asked. She loved the idea of people knowing how to bake bread in their homes. For this reason, this will be a really fun and special class for us to offer!
Above are the dates for the next five months. We will post the rest of the year’s dates at a later time.
Classes are $100, and will include instruction as well as sourdough starter. If you are looking for a starter kit as well, that will include all of the tools needed, that package will be $150 (total). Once booked, classes are non-refundable.
All classes will be held from 6:30-8:00 pm.

I think there is one constant every holiday at the bakery, and that is that we get nervous. We prepped all day today, many hard working hands, many tired bodies, and definitely brain overload. But somehow there is still this worry that no one will show up. I don’t know why, but if I’m being honest it’s there. We want to thank you before we even approach our Christmas Eve at the bakery. Thank you for showing up (many of you have bern here yearly) thank you for spending money in our establishment, thank you for being kind to us, thank you for remembering us in your thoughts and prayers, thank you for simply wishing us a “Merry Christmas.” Your kindness does not go unnoticed, and even when we are running around and a bit out of our minds, please know that we are very grateful for you. When the dust settles, and we sit down and ponder about the day, and even the year, we are grateful for each one of you. You make the bakery so very special. 🎄
