From August 28 to September 6, Helsinki Design Week took over the city centre under the theme The Oncoming Other — an invitation to come together and share the city. Exhibitions, installations, open studios, and conversations unfolded across a network of Meeting Points, turning Helsinki into a stage where design and public life were inseparable.

Highlights included the Aalto 90 Pavilion by Iittala and Hydro, designed by Lars Beller Fjetland and TABLEAU CPH; a Wild Mushroom Bar by Sami Tallberg; a Howard Smith Retrospective at EMMA; the Futuro House reimagined by Marimekko at Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden; and the Helsinki Design Award, won by JKMM Architects — the most prestigious recognition in Finnish design.
