hey @ryanashank , sachee here

i used to edit the @sharewillowpodcast , back when Ash Read brought me in

@sharewillow is telling an entire industry to stop paying for hours and start paying for performance, and your customers see 20% more profit in year one

@jonesanddemille , @t.bakersmith , Jones & DeMille, Bolst, First Rate Movers, Thomas

and now you’re hiring your first enterprise AE to go get the large home service companies, the franchises, the private equity backed holdcos

i’ve been testing deeply researched outbound and reached out to @zapier , paid, @demandbase , @sendosohq and @crewgtm , and all 5 replied

so i know how to get the reply

what i want now is a real enterprise deal. the part after the reply, where twelve people have to say yes and the thing either moves or stalls

so ryan, give me your top three accounts and we start there

and pay me the way you tell your customers to pay their techs. on performance. deal closes, i get paid

if none of them work out, i owe you a banger video. sound fair?

Most influencer brands are paid promotions and consumers need to be careful.

Justin Bieber wore nail polish before anyone knew his name and before deals existed. Serena Williams genuinely loved manicure because it reflected who she was, not because she was paid. That’s the difference between real influence and manufactured marketing.

Authenticity always outperforms ads pretending to be culture.

Bill Clinton took my car keys mid interview.

During an interview, I mentioned buying a shopping bag for his daughter that the Secret Service would not allow inside. Bill Clinton casually told them to come over, asked where my car was, took my keys, and personally went to get the bag. He instantly knew what it was and said his daughters would love it. A moment you do not expect, even around presidents.

Flat hourly pay incentivizes the wrong behaviors.

Your techs log hours instead of completing jobs fast, upselling memberships, or getting reviews. Ryan’s platform creates scorecards that align employee incentives with business goals.

How Tommy Mello Changed the Way I See Garage Doors

Jason Brown recalls hearing Tommy Mello talk about something most people never think twice about — the garage door. On the surface, it seems transactional. You fix it, it works, and that’s it. But Tommy framed it differently.

He explained that for many families, the garage door is the true front door. It’s how you enter your home, where the kids sleep above, and where the family fridge sits in the cold. It’s not just a door; it’s the gateway to the family’s daily life.

That simple perspective shift changed how Jason thought about storytelling in business — finding meaning and value in the details that everyone else overlooks.
