From stepping into a set of bindings for the first time, to becoming a seasoned instructor, the role LSH plays in developing our youth is a unique attribute for our community.

Listed below are a few important dates to save, to equip you and your kiddos for the upcoming season:
❄️Sept. 1st • 26/27 PLSC Season Passes Go on Sale. Don’t miss out on the best deal of the year!

❄️Oct. 1st - 25th • Scholarship Applications for 2027 ASP are accepted at this time.
❄️Nov. 1st • Registration OPENS for our 2027 After School Program at 7pm.

So very honored and humbled to be listed as a leader in TIME 100 Sports alongside such incredible athletes! I have had the gift of so many amazing role models throughout my life, and to be named alongside some of them is an honor that I don’t take lightly.

The goal was always to do more than try and win races; it was to leave the sport a better place by talking about mental health and eating disorders, climate change, getting more kids on snow…and yes, even by the simple act of wearing glitter and showing that you can smile at the start line AND be incredibly gritty! ✨ Honored to be recognized for the work I get to do with the @emilyprogram @protectourwinters & @sharewinterfoundation by @time 🤍

It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by @time on their TIME100 list as an Icon in Sports alongside so many inspiring people.

To be honest, recognition like this always feels a little surreal. Even after all these years, there’s still a part of me that wonders, “Is this real?”

I’ve been fortunate enough to stand on top of the podium 121 times on the world stage, and I can honestly say it has never felt routine. Maybe from the outside, repeated success can start to look ordinary. Maybe that’s why some people call it boring. But from the inside, it’s anything but.

I still care deeply. I still get nervous. I’m still motivated to improve. I’m still chasing the perfect turn.

What means the most to me is being able to use the opportunities this sport has given me…not only to pursue excellence in skiing, but also to support causes I care about (like @sharewinterfoundation) and hopefully make a positive impact along the way.

And none of it happens alone.

I’m endlessly grateful for my family, coaches, teammates, sponsors, friends, and all of you who have supported me through every high and low. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Much love,
Miki

So many shared memories this year! Today we had our block party to celebrate the community that we’ve cultivated~ This year has been a rewarding one and we are so thankful to share snippets with all of you 🫶🌳🏂

Every year we have the opportunity to touch the lives of 30-40 Seattle youth, but that isn’t without the help of foundations like @sharewinterfoundation! We wouldn’t be able to run our programs and learn with youth without the help from foundations like them!

We were able to run 127 days of snowboard programming in the US alone this winter!

A massive thank you to our friends at @sharewinterfoundation. With their help we were able to get so many more young people out on the slopes and shredding this winter!

These 35 young girls got to ski with the GOAT 🐐

Mikaela Shiffrin teamed up with Share Winter and elevateHER for a ski day at Copper Mountain.

Hailing mostly from Salida, Colo., and surrounding rural towns, the girls had various backgrounds. From racing for the local ski area to those who had hardly spent any time on the slopes.

When a girl needed poles, Shiffrin skied without any for the remainder of the event. Another girl was sitting on the snow, rubbing her bare hands together. Shiffrin gave the girl her gloves. When a girl fell, and her skis came off, Shiffrin was the first to act, sitting on the snow to hold the skis and help her back in.

One thing’s for sure, Shiffrin knows being a legendary athlete means nothing without lifting up those who look up to you.

Read more about Shiffrin’s ski day with the girls and her goal to raise money to get more kids on snow at the link in our bio.

This was a long cold winter but grateful to the volunteers, chaperones, and youth participants that engaged in the 4th Annual Intertribal Youth Ski Trip. You made every cold day worth it.

Tuning in to express gratitude to all that were apart of this years trip. We acknowledge we are still in the early stages of a long term commitment to giving native youth the opportunity to ski and snowboard so appreciate the patience as we grow.

Thank you to everyone past and present who have contributed to this beautiful journey
