Another LIB for the books! 11th LIB for us and the veterans shined. Didn’t take many photos of the whole 25 person team cause we were having too much fun, but here are the ones we did take. We built a new custom lightweight bar to travel with the van and it was at the main stage. @dubteasherbert and @evan.earth kept the lighthouse bar open for 72 hours straight because the bar was always full! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU @thedolab and the whole @libfestival team for the most fun weekend of the year! Till next year!

This morning, I went into my father‘s room to check on how he was doing and tell him it was snowing too much to take him to his appointment. As I approached him, I noticed his eyes were open and rolled back, and when I tried to wake him, he was unresponsive. I shook him and called his name repeatedly and still no response. I checked for his breath and felt a very faint shallow breath. I called my siblings to let them know and then 911. As I was on the phone with the paramedics, I saw him take his last breath.
He was unable to be revived.
My father George Jolly Merrick booked his departure on the express sweet chariot pulled by the flaming horse of the Chinese New Year, on the cusp of Ramadan, Mardi Gras and Presidents’ Day and took his last breath in his human body at the exact moment of the lunar eclipse this morning. I’m sure our mother his loving wife of 42 years and love of his life Louise Holland Huss was on board as well to accompany him on his journey.

I’ve been taking care of my father extensively for the last four years and my sister Judy and the family along with a team of caregivers really stepped up to help in these last several months when his care needs grew exponentially after a fall he had back in September. He spent these last four years living in his own little unit right next to my brother‘s house where he was constantly visited and showered with the love of his family and three grandchildren. Such a lucky guy we have all been so grateful and so was he.
There is so much more I want to share.
For now I just wanted to share and let everyone know what happened.
He had asked to be left at home for the next couple of days for a vigil for family and friends to come visit him with purple flowers and his favorite jazz music playing (Miles Davis being at the top of the list ). We will be with him and his body all day at the house tomorrow for anyone that would like to come by and visit, say goodbye, pray, and pay their respects. We will also be making prayer ties to burn with the body.💖🙏🏻💖

Hello Party People! Well it’s Better late than never to drop the full 411 on Neptune and Amae’s events and adventures for this years legendary Halloween Weekend in Nevada City. No one does it like we do in this little town!
Shortly after Starting off with taking the kids trick or treating downtown Nevada City we will kick off the festivities with a little pre-party at Elixart where I will be starting to drop some tunes around 6:00pm until I feel like it’s time to move on. My beloved Amae will be accompanying me with her amazing live vocals over some new tracks we’ve pulled together for the occasion. I’ve also curated a killer playlist to run at times when I’m not there personally throwing down the beats.

Then of course there is Polish Ambassador at The Miners Foundry. A legendary annual Halloween tradition.

Then of course there is the main event of the evening….
FANTASIA at the Bodhi Hive
The most Epic Halloween party ever for the 3rd year in a row. Put on by Nadi the man with the big dolphin energy behind the legendary Electropical events! This is one for the books and not to be missed. If you are only going to one party Halloween night, then this is THE one. I will be going on in the second room from 1:00-2:30am. I have a massive set coming together for this one and I will be saving the best for this! Amae will be joining me again with live vocals to sing the hits! Whatever else is going on at the time, you won’t want to miss this, you will hearing about it later if you do.

Then….the following night Saturday moving into the Day of the Dead I will be toping it all of by throwing down at The Crazy Horse delving into that theme and playing all the killer tunes I didn’t have time to fit into my sets on Halloween and Amae will be singing more songs!

Made rainbow sourdough pretzels with all the camp kids this week, using turmeric, beet powder, blue spirulina and cinnamon. Delicious and so much fun.

Good to be taking pops out of his box back out for a little exercise, fresh air, sunshine and time with the grandkids. Grateful to have this time with him I his late years.🌞
