To truly love some silly little piece of music or some band so much that it hurts.

This has been an incredible year of live music for me with a total of 112 gigs I’ve attended, which is the most I’ve ever done in a year! Nearly 113 but unfortunately the Stereophonics cancelled. It’s been a mix of seeing some bucket list acts, old favourites and new discoveries

Some quick highlights were having a brief but personal moment with Dua Lipa who signed a photo for me during her show, getting to see Oasis twice when I thought I would never get to see them together again, being in the same room as Chaka Khan, singing Sweet Inspiration backstage with Joe Camilleri and also getting Lenny Kravitz’s autograph when he came down to the audience. Genuinely every single gig meant something to me as I only go see artists I truly love. A few special stand outs this year would be Gabriella Cilmi and Chris Stapleton, both blew me away with how incredible they were. Also I’d like to thank all the artists who have taken the time to talk, sign autographs and take photos with me. These little moments mean the world and I always appreciate them more than you’ll ever know. Special shout out to Ross Wilson, The Black Sorrows, WILSN and Roshani who always go above and beyond with their kindness

I attend about 90% of the shows alone but this year especially I have met so many kind and wonderful people and it has been a pleasure to line up with them all day and continue to remain in contact since the shows. Unfortunately I didn’t get photos with everyone!

As Leonard Cohen says on his live in London album “we are so privileged to gather in moments like this, when so much of the world is plunged in darkness and chaos.” It feels relevant now more than ever so I never take being able to attend these shows for granted

It’s also so important to get out and support live music, buy merch and give thanks to the artists who bring us so much joy with their music

I would like to wish a happy new year to the artists who have brought so much joy to my life and to my friends and family for putting up with me as I don’t make it easy. May 2026 be a year of peace, love and good times for us all ✌🏻💛🎆
