Some battles were never yours to carry.

You kept walking.
You kept praying.
You kept carrying the weight.

But what if God was trying to remind you of one thing:

He still reigns. 👑

When everything around you feels uncertain, when the road seems too long, when you don't understand what He is doing remember:

GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE.
GOD STILL REIGNS.

✨ YOU REIGN
Vincent Afemikhe (Manofmusic) feat. Vanessa Leroi-Okonny

COMING SOON 8 SEPTEMBER

This is more than a song.
This is a reminder.

If you believe He still reigns, comment “YOU REIGN” 👑 and share this with someone who needs the reminder.

I am inspired...

...Inspired by @bunmiakano

It's not because we share the same birthday. I was intrigued by her anecdotes and praises that wrap how essential it is to hold unto God.

I was searching for a job and planning a charity program in January. All I had was hope and grit. I believed something great will happen if I didn't give up. I kept pushing. Networking, touching lives, attending virtual classes, hunger, dry pocket 😁... I got to realised that they are part of my becoming.

In February, I got a scholarship from @tekediaInstitute for a Mini-MBA. That was a huge sign that 2021 is going to be bright. I kept pushing...I severally sent messages to @YemiFaseun on WhatsApp and he'd told me "Trust the process."

In March, I was working for two start-up NGOs. Making plans and strategy on how to help communities in Lagos and Osun state respectively. I had no dime but was satisfied because I was touching lives. Everything continues and I joined a group of friends in the campaign to raise eight million naira (#8,000,000) for a friend's mother who was suffering from Lymphoma.

Sharon Mohammed and I were planning to execute a project themed: #book215. We generated over Five hundred thousand naira (#500,000) in cash and materials. We successfully distributed over four hundred school materials including bags, books, novels, mathematical sets... to students in the dustbin area of Ajegunle, Lagos. This was a win for us.

Few weeks before we launched the #book215 project, I secured a job. Not a fat salary job 😆 but, I was grateful for life. In April, I enrolled on a Bootcamp hosted by ScholarNurture to learn web development. A few weeks later, I was shortlisted to be part of the YF Academy.

All these are part of my becoming...

I appreciate God for the grace to witness another birthday. Being alive in good health is a big deal. Alhamdulilah...

Happy birthday in advance to me.

Period poverty is when a girl cannot afford menstrual products during menstruation. This often result to unhygienic menstrual practices such as: using pad for a long period of time, the use of piece of rags, old newspapers, tissues, etc
Studies have shown that school girls living in poor communities, suffer the most from period poverty as their parents are unable to afford menstrual kids. This forces them to stay away from school on menstruation days. On very important school days like exam or test days, the girl unavoidably uses newspaper or rag with two or more underwears just to avoid getting stained during school hours. This act alone can lead to several vagina infections
So I decided to help a dear friend of mine Sharon Mohammed @ceeheeoh carry out pad distribution exercise for young school girls at DUSTBIN ESTATE in Ajegunle.
We reached out to people to help make this project a reality. And we were able to get 1,008 packs of sanitary towels.
A big thank you to everyone that helped sponsor this project. Thank you so much❣️
I really appreciate it🤗
