Nothing is worse than being pitied by everyone around you when you’re living and taking your time. This film explores that conversation so many of us in our mid twenties find ourselves in when we are simply figuring it out.

And I’ll Keep Forgetting

Coming to Within the FRAME this fall ✨

Not one, but two artists bloom for our next spotlight! Nix Sharp and Aster Lenhart are Strange Animations’ first film maker team.

Nix Sharp (@sharpie.dust) is a recent graduate at the School of Visual Arts from the Animation program. Their focus is on artistic direction and background art. Additionally, They are a 2D cel animator, a puppeteer and a RISO print artist! On the weekends, they love to plein air paint and freak out over their favorite musicals with friends online. Their work can be found on instagram and https://nixsharp.carbonmade.com

“Aster Lenhart (@pastelstarstuff) is a PA-based designer and animator whose has an equal love for gothic horror and silly cats. If they’re not obsessively doodling their favorite game characters, they may be found instead rambling about niche Victorian facts or just showing off pictures of their cat (he’s cute)! You can check out their work at https://starridge.art, or on their socials!

Set your heart on seeing Aster and Nix’s film with an original live score by Aesop’s Sound Fables Wednesday, November 19th at 7:30 PM in the Ridgewood, Queens Cassette Bar! Get your tickets in advance at the link in the @aesopssoundfables bio 👤🌹

Graduated! With honors! And presidential medal!

I love SVA, this program and this school and these people have changed so many parts of my life. Thank you to WIA, thank you to my friends, to my family…it’s hard to believe where I am now. It is all so special to me, and I am forever grateful for everything that has come my way.

I am going to miss this community and this world so very much, but am excited to find ways to keep it alive. So much love and joy and gratitude, and so much excitement for what lies ahead. 💌💌💌
