🔮 NGC 7380 – Der Zauberernebel in echtem SHO! 👇 EN 🇬🇧 🔮 NGC 7380 – The Wizard Nebula in True SHO! ✨ After 8 hours of total integration time, my latest deep-sky project is finally complete! To achieve this high-contrast Hubble palette using a color camera (OSC), I used a unique dual-filter setup: 50% of the data was captured with the L-Ultimate (Ha & OIII) and 50% with the L-Synergy (SII & OIII). Thanks to clean channel separation in post-processing, I was able to isolate the true Sulfur (SII) and Hydrogen (Ha) signals, while combining both filter datasets into an extremely strong „Super-OIII“ channel. The result is a true, crisp SHO palette showcasing fine details in the mystical dust clouds of the Wizard! 🧙‍♂️ Equipment & Tech Specs: 🔭 Telescope: Askar 120APO + Flattener 📸 Camera: @zwoasi ASI533MC Pro ⛰️ Mount: ZWO AM3 ⌛️ Integration: 8 Hours (50:50 L-Ultimate / L-Synergy) @optolongfilter What do you think of the depth and the color separation in the gas structures? 📌 Andromeda Galaxy (M31) — A 10 Hour Journey Through Space. My dear AstroVerce friends, I’m truly excited to share with you one of the most iconic and breathtaking treasures of the night sky the magnificent Andromeda Galaxy (M31). A true jewel for every astrophotographer, Andromeda never fails to inspire. Its vast spiral arms stretch across an incredible ~220,000 light-years, revealing a galaxy full of structure, depth, and ancient light that has traveled millions of years to reach us. This image is the result of many hours of dedication, patience, and careful processing, combining both Ha and RGB data to highlight the glowing hydrogen regions and bring out the fine details hidden within its structure. Using a dual imaging setup, I captured over 10 hours of total integration, allowing the galaxy to truly come alive frame by frame. 📍Did you know? The Andromeda Galaxy is the closest large spiral galaxy to us, located about 2.5 million light-years away and it’s actually moving toward the Milky Way. In roughly 4 billion years, the two galaxies will merge in a spectacular cosmic event that will reshape our galactic neighborhood. Equipment & Capture Details: 🔭 Askar 103 APO + 0.8x flattener 📸 ZWO ASI1600MC Pro 🛰 ZWO AM5N ☢️ ASIAIR PRO 🧪 Processing: DSS, Siril & Photoshop 📈 Total Integration Time: ~10 hours May the Stars be with You..✨✨ My main profile is :@mr.intheory #MrAstroVader #AndromedaGalaxy #M31 #Astrophotography #DeepSkyPhotography

Une nuit d'astrophotographie, résumée en 20 secondes. Installation du matériel, réglages, acquisition… puis plusieurs heures à collecter la lumière des étoiles. Et après tout ça, il reste encore le traitement pour révéler les détails de l'Univers. ========================================================== A night of astrophotography, condensed into 20 seconds. Setting up the equipment, making adjustments, capturing data… followed by several hours spent collecting starlight. And after all that, there’s still the processing stage to reveal the details of the Universe.

How much integration time is enough? A common questions in astrophotography. The simple answer: the more, the better — but not necessarily the longer the individual exposures. What really matters is the total integration time. Technically speaking, the signal-to-noise ratio improves with the square root of the integration time. So if you want to double the SNR, you need roughly four times the total integration time. That means: 1 hour → 4 hours → 16 hours → 64 hours → 256 hours corresponds roughly to: 1× → 2× → 4× → 8× → 16× SNR So while the improvements never stop, the required time becomes increasingly extreme. Going from 1 to 4 hours is easy enough. Going from 16 to 64 hours for the next doubling is already a very different commitment — and 256 hours is another world entirely. 😅 Personally, there is a point where I’d rather move on to another target. Because of these diminishing returns, I almost never spend more than about 16 hours per filter on a single object. And of course, brighter targets don’t necessarily need huge amounts of integration to produce a good-looking final image. A good example is our neighboring galaxy, Andromeda (M31). This image consists of “only” 115 × 60-second exposures per RGB channel — just under 6 hours of total integration time. Basically, one good night of imaging. 🌌🔭 @zwoasi @zwoastro @sharpstaroptics @pegasus.astro @starfront_observatories @highpointscientific Askar 130 PHQ 🔭 ZWO AM5N ⛰️ ZWO ASI2600MM Pro 📷 Antlia LRGB-V & SHO NB 3nm Pro Imaging Filter 🕳️ 115x60sec RGB each 🕑 Gain 100 💪 -5° ❄️ Bortle 1 👀 N.I.N.A. + Siril 🖥️ #Astrophotography #sharpstaroptics #zwoastro #starfrontobservatories #highpoinscientific
