$#traumatuesday "I always keep the windows down for my dog while I drive"...well that's great, because this could have been his LAST car ride ever...how many dogs have you seen injured or killed after falling/jumping out a moving car? Seen 3 this week, about 25 so far this year. I know the weather is warming up, but be smart and safe. YOU are responsible if you leave a window down on the highway and your dog jumps out. (Those wondering, this doberman had surgery and frax repaired with specialist) . . #vetmed #medicine #veterinarian #fracture #veterinarymedicine #veterinaria #vettech #vetschool #vetstudent #dvm #trauma #xray #hbc #emergency #ERdoc #doctor #petowner #dogs #puppy #dogsofig #pets #doberman #pitbull #poodle #malinois #petsofinstagram #petsofig #realcases$

$#traumatuesday This small dog (cocker spaniel mix) was attacked by a large dog. Significant damage was dealt within 30seconds. Injuries sustained include head/neck trauma, many punctures, proptosed eye and a severely fractured leg that was amputated. In the time it took for you to read this far, a dog could be killed or face life threatening emergencies costing thousands of dollars in vet bills. The last few years, I've seen several large dog IG accounts that were injured or killed when owners of small dogs defend their family member. Of course everyone is outraged, but very few see the other side. This is a glimpse. What would you do if another dog was attacking and possibly killing your dog? (This is post is not directed at any particular account, this is strictly just for education. You can never predict animal behavior 100%, Accidents happen daily) . . #vetmed #medicine #emergency #ERdoc #puppy #puppiesofig #pitbull #poodle #doberman #workingdogs #doctor #vetschool #vetstudent #vettech #dvm #vetsnobiety #veterinarymedicine #veterinarian #pets #dogtraining #petsofinstagram #petsofig #animals #dogs #dogsofinstagram #dogsofig #surgery #trauma$
