I’m a sucker for a pastel cover and a romance genre sticker🥰
I had seen this one on bookstagram (tagged some folks!) was able to grab a copy from my local library @hamiltonlibrary

We meet the main character Sadie when she “is in desperate need of three things: a stiff drink, a new place to live, and a one night stand”. All die hard romcom fans know that the heroine always finds love when she is least looking for it…and this charming tale is no expectation. Enter Jack, her new reclusive landlord.

Sadie’s rambling dialogue was relatable and charming, and I enjoyed watching her romance with Jack unfold. With an entertaining group of friends rounding out the characters, I found myself burning through this easy read with a smile on my face.

A lovely story that isn’t life changing but still takes time to examine the important changes in life. For those who have read it as well… what are your thoughts?!

Book review from Shauna Shares Stories – thank you so much for recommending THE BREAK-UP BOOK CLUB.

“This book follows several women with two major things in common: they’ve each reached a pivotal change in their lives, and they are all part of the same beloved book club.

Why I loved: multiple POVs, family drama, character variety.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! It was a super-bingeable read that spilled plenty of tea all over the cozy book club setting. I loved how the characters were all at various points of life, and how that brought the unlikely group together. The characters dealt with a lot (infidelity, death, divorce, car accidents) but was a celebration of overcoming the difficult times with those in your corner. “

🚨 #MyOtherLoveIsMusic stack challenge! 🚨
My sweet friend Deb of @thelittlethingsandmore and I struck up a Booksta friendship but it wasn’t until we discovered that we both grew up listening to and loving the same music that we realized we are Booksta soul mates! And to commemorate that we bring you this challenge to celebrate our second love, music (after books of course).

Full disclosure, when I moved into my house I donated my entire CD collection. I don’t have a single CD player in my home. I’m a Spotify girl through and through. And the only thing playing on my Spotify right now is the Hamilton soundtrack. I watched Hamilton for the first time 3 weeks ago and I am OBSESSED! Lin-Manuel Miranda is a musical genius and Daveed Diggs is my future second husband.

So what’s your favourite song from Hamilton?
My number one has got to be It’s Quiet Uptown with My Shot and You’ll Be Back in a close second.

If you asked me to tell you what makes a book cover "cute," I wouldn't be able to tell you. All I know is that when @jamiesbookstack tagged me in the #CuteCoversChallenge, I pulled these books out with a surprising certainty. Maybe it's the bright colors, cute illustrations, or unique typography. Whatever it is, I'm not too big to admit that I'm pretty proud of how this photo turned out.

Also, shout out to my husband who made this coffee table. Designed it, cut and stained the wood, put it together all on his own.

A #mintyfreshstack challenge

I was challenged by @book.crave and I have tagged a few people but challenge anyone who wants to participate in this stack challenge.

A few of these books are in French because I’m trying to read more in my second language. I’m struggling to prioritize them because it’s so much easier to reach for an English book.

I added my teal notebook into this stack because I use it to write down any thoughts I have while reading. And of course I had to use my glasses as a prop in this one because they are the perfect colour accessory!
