Te extraño mucho, México 🥲 It was a fun six weeks spent making art and new friends @rondoresidency ❤️‍🔥 I learned so much from the artists of Mexico City as well as the ones from around the world who I was lucky enough to share space with. It’s good to be back home, there’s a lot to look forward to (!) but a little bit of me will always be waiting to go back to Mexico 🇲🇽💗

on Monday my dad passed. an aggressive cancer took him swiftly. now free of his pain, he is one with the universe again. for that, and for the time we had together in his final hours, my family is thankful. 🤍
the old man was a known sweetheart and talented musician who brought joy to hearts and stages all over. endlessly proud of his family and an ever-supportive force, he was always encouraging and showing up. a sardonic man who worried for the world and its people, he helped wherever he could. your water glass was never empty when you spent time with Roger Kardinal. i feel very proud and fortunate to have had him as my father. i will miss him dearly. 🌛

After six weeks of working and developing their practices in Mexico City, Shirley Cao, Vanda Focanti, Susanne Hartmann, Shabez Jamal, Shaun Kardinal, and Emily McDonald will open their studios and share the work developed during their time at Rondo.

Come by, meet the artists, see what they’ve been working on, and spend the evening with us.

There’s freedom in saying goodbye.

I’ve struggled with saying goodbye to this experience which has fed me in ways i don’t know were necessary. Over the course of the past five weeks, I’ve had the experience of being able to expand my practice materially, return back to ways of making I’d thought long gone, as well as, forge new and beautifully intimate friendships.

I’m thankful to the folks at Rondo for the space, resources, and access to this special place that they’ve provided.

I’m grateful for cohort of residents I was able to share this time with.

I’m glad to have been able to connect with old friends and make new special connections.

Most of all I’m grateful for the time to play. Time to think. Time to laugh, and love, and cry, and laugh again.

I’m so damn grateful for this time.

Sarah Haenn: “SPRING, SUMMER, FALL, WINTER”, a collection of 4 new archival prints

Inspired by Philadelphia’s storied textile history, this series of banners reimagines the traditional Toile de Jouy through a contemporary, surrealist lens. Drawing from the “Dreamland” exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (2025-2026), heightened color and non-linear layouts are used to elevate the urban experience from the mundane to the extraordinary.

The work explores the duality of Philadelphia—a city defined by both its grit and its deep-seated passion. By documenting the way we navigate the city’s grid reveals the “in’s & out’s” hidden within historic architecture and the art that flourishes in unexpected corners. These four banners serve as a seasonal map of the Philadelphia spirit: from the rhythmic blooms of Kelly Drive in Spring and the sun-drenched waterfronts of Summer, to the civic pride of Broad Street in Autumn and the cozy, histor

Last weekend to see FORM/FIELD at Paradigm Gallery in Philly.

This is a piece called ‘12 Beats over 10 Melodies’. This piece was created from materials found in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn, and created during our residency at the wonderful BedStuy Art Residency.

It’s been a real joy to share space with Shaun Kardinal for this 2 person exhibition. The pairing feels so wonderful in the space.
