spent 1/3 of 2024 in charlotte, NC making a movie!
lots of time spent in the sky, created a toy store (nbd), laughed while doing it (mostly, not always), had a few house guests (snake not pictured), a little bit of sad beige but mostly lots of color :)

I went and saw the film "Red One" last night. I really liked it! Red One is a fun lighthearted blast of yuletide cheer.

The great script by Chris Morgan(based off the story by Hiram Garcia) tells a heartfelt story set in such a cool imaginative world. The characters are very likable, and the action sequences are exciting and quite inventive. It's a holiday story of morality, redemption, free will, and spirit.

Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans star in great charismatic performances as a weary bodyguard of Santa Claus and a slick fast-talking bounty hunter/hacker. They have such hilarious dysfunctional chemistry as well. The film itself is so charming and has such a funny zany wit. There is also a superb ensemble cast, including Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, J.K. Simmons, Bonnie Hunt, Nick Kroll, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Kristofer Hivju, and the voice talents of Reinaldo Faberlle.

The cinematography is fantastic by Dan Mindel and is accompanied by a wonderful score by Henry Jackman. It's well-edited by Mark Helfrich, Steve Edwards, and Tara Timpone. The effects are very well done, and the film has some absolutely phenomenal art direction, set decoration, costume design, and production design. Jake Kasdan did a terrific job directing this hilarious action-packed film for the whole family that I would recommend.

I went and saw the film "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" this afternoon. I really enjoyed it! Bad Boys: Ride or Die is a hilarious, exhilirating thrill ride filled with the franchise's signature wit and the most insane inventive and visceral action sequences to date.

The really good script by Chris Bremner & Will Beall tells a story about growing older, redemption, corruption, and most of all, family. The film's spiritual and sees our two main characters grow quite a bit. It's still just as hilarious as ever, though.

Will Smith & Martin Lawrence star once again star as their iconic characters in fantastic performances with their brilliant charming dysfunctional chemistry. Jacob Scipio, Paola Nuñez, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Joe Pantoliano, Reggie McDonald, and Bianca Bethune in great performances. Ioan Gruffudd, Tasha Smith, Melanie Liburd, Tiffany Haddish, Rhea Seehorn, and Eric Dane as the menacing villain.

The cinematography by Robrecht Heyvaert is incredibly impressive and unique, accompanied by a superb score by Lorne Balfe. The film is masterfully edited by Asaf Eisenberg & Dan Lebental and has some cool art direction, set decoration, costume design, and production design.
Adil & Bilal did a terrific job directing this exciting heart-pounding action comedy that I would highly recommend.

I watched the film "Haunted Mansion" last night. I really enjoyed it! Haunted Mansion is an exciting, suspenseful film filled with laughs and thrills for the whole family.

The awesome script by Kate Dippold pays homage to the beloved ride and expands on the intriguing lore in a story filled with likable characters and filled with a charming wit. There is so much heart in this story as it deals with grief, loss, and really just believing in yourself.

The film has a great ensemble cast that includes LaKeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Hadish, Rosario Dawson, Danny DeVito, and Chase W. Dillon. The film also has really good supporting performances from Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto.

The film has some really cool effects and imaginative trippy visuals. The film has a thrilling score by Kris Bowers and some impressive cinematography by Jeffrey Waldron. The film is wonderfully edited by Phillip J Bartell. The art direction, Set Decoration(Victor J. Zolfo) , Production design( Darren Gilford) , and costume design( Jeffrey Kurland) is absolutely fantastic as they provide a creepy atmosphere. Justin Simien did a terrific job directing this delightful blast of humor and frights for the whole family that I highly recommend.
