#visegrad24 #fakenewsmedia

Visegrád 24, a self-proclaimed news platform, has been heavily criticized for spreading misinformation and propaganda, often tailored to align with far-right ideologies. According to reports, the outlet operates on a strategy resembling Hungary’s media manipulation under Viktor Orbán, utilizing sensationalism and disinformation to advance specific political narratives. It frequently posts misleading or outright false content, earning its reputation as a disinformation media outlet.

In one scandal, Visegrád 24 was suspended from Twitter (now X) for sharing material related to child exploitation, a clear violation of platform policies. Despite public outrage, Elon Musk reinstated the account, raising serious concerns about Twitter’s commitment to combating child abuse and misinformation under Musk’s leadership. This decision drew widespread backlash, with critics accusing Musk of enabling dangerous and unethical behavior on his platform.

Additionally, Visegrád 24 has been accused of using inflammatory, nationalist rhetoric to push a pro-Ukraine and pro-Israel agenda, often distorting facts to manipulate public opinion. Its content strategy relies on alarmism and polarizing headlines, drawing comparisons to propaganda outlets rather than legitimate journalism. This has prompted experts to label Visegrád 24 a toxic force in media, designed to sow division and push ideological agendas under the guise of news reporting.
