SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 🎓✨

Name: Shaye Smith
From: Oswego, Illinois
High School: Oswego East High School
Position: Center Midfielder
Major: Biology | Minor: Chemistry

Shaye has been a constant leader and positive presence for the Spartans. Being voted Teammate of the Year twice and now serving as a captain are among her proudest accomplishments — a true reflection of her impact both on and off the field. 💙

She says her favorite memories come from the moments that define the team’s bond — the bus rides, pasta parties, sideline laughs, and long talks at practice. The Costa Rica trip stands out most: singing on the bus, white water rafting, playing in the pouring rain, and making memories that will last a lifetime. 🌧️🇨🇷⚽

After graduation, Shaye will attend the University of Dayton to pursue her master’s in physician assistant studies. 🩺✨
