Tuesday a few of us had the amazing opportunity to perform in our nation’s capital and tour some of its historic landmarks. It was truly a blessing to share our talents and perform for the Faith & Politics Institute. @faithandpolitics 💜
A heartfelt thank you to Representative Terri Sewell @repterriasewell and Representative Timothy Kennedy @reptimkennedy for making this unforgettable experience possible. A great THANK YOU to Dr. Coleman for this opportunity as well!

A very memorable trip! Very grateful! THANK YOU GOD! 💜 ✨ #washingtondc #thecapitol #faithandpoliticsinstitute #actress

“What happens to a dream deferred?”

That it a question that I thought I would have the answer to. But it is through God that he has brought me from that dark place and placed me in the light and have surrounded me with my own people. To @shaylameadows_ @camrynn_nicolee , you two are so kind. Your spirit is infectious that it was an HONOR to be your mother (hope your neck feeling better). To @mixedsanaa @luv__symone @_epiphany.h , to be welcomed by you all was like a breath of fresh air. We’ve truly shared close moments and for that I am forever grateful. To @e.bonixx @briadonice , my doubles…my rocks…my confidants. These are the ladies that have gave me advice after advice with not just my role but also with life, with being ALIVE and finding the beauty and joy each and every day. And as your time with Alabama State comes to an end I hope to honor your legacy and the lessons that you have provided me. So that I may share with future generations.

And finally, to my director. @nicolasjjordan . From the moment I step to the audition room I was excited about this whole thing. And to see my name in black and white, showed me that I can do more than just be a side character. You gave me the ultimate challenge of feeling emotions, exploring depths, and being one with my community. For that I thank you. You have gave me an experience that has helped me unlearn things that held me down, you have given me hope within my craft, and you have provided a family for me. And God knows all of that would not have happened if you didn’t put my name on that list.

I laughed with all, cried with some, and maybe even annoyed others (my bad y’all). But in the end, these are people that have never treated me any different and have loved me for just the way that I am. And with their sense of community and love, I know that my dream will never defer
