First four months in Finland taught me a lot.
When I came in August, the days were still long and we’ve been enjoying summer-ish weather by swimming in the lakes, having picnics and watching sunsets.
Autumn came quickly and even rainy days were not stopping us from cycling, going for expensive coffee or cheap student lunches.
The colder the weather was getting, the more I was appreciating saunas, hot drinks and warm movie nights in our common room.
The darker the days were getting the more I was impressed by the northern lights, and as it was becoming colder, I was more and more excited about the possibility of all the winter sports.
And suddenly I knew that 4 months in Finland are not enough, I needed more… 🤍💙

Being in Lapland felt like being a part of fairytale.
My cold heart was totally happy here, riding huski sleight, sharing cottage with my favs and sauning.
Seeing 2h of colourful sunrise/set, hiking or just being.
I am addicted to this pure happiness, mountains, snow and north.
North is northing.
Definitely.

It was sad leaving the Hatchet House for the last time in uniform last night. I will forever love the friends and memories I’ve made along the way. Will always be a proud Hatchet🖤🎀
