POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our fourth issue focussed on a subject very close to my heart - neurodivergence.

Covering personal and professional viewpoints, the issue was jam-packed with brilliant writing, personal experiences and reflections, art, poetry, and two (count 'em!) Q&As with the brilliant Natalia-Nana Lester-Bush and 'Find Your Spark' founder Michelle Shavdia.

Our next issue is all about AI and its effects on our lives. Is it make them better? Worse? Does it make you more worries about your future?

Submissions are being accepted from RIGHT NOW, until 1st October - and earlier the better, because I have to edit this thing on my own!

Find out more at www.theframemagazine.co.uk, visit the link in the bio, or wing us an email at theframesubmissions@gmail.com

And if that isn't enough for you, we're now on Substack! Find us there. I don't know the link. You'll work it out.

What was I made for?
Spreading the joy of @barbie of course 😂🤣😆

During December and New Year we had lots of our family visiting the U.K. from overseas (a very rare treat) 💕 I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with my Great Niece again (after first meeting her in Hong Kong in December 2023!) This time I also got to meet her little sister as well 🥹 These two girlies melt my heart. They are adorable, sweet, cute and two of the most loved little girls I know. Their parents (my nephew and his wife) are AMAZING - warm, loving, funny and utterly devoted to their kids. I like to think this is what we are like as parents. There’s not a day goes by when we don’t tell Zach we love him multiple times and likewise every single time we see Zach he says “I love you” 💕🥹 That equates a whole lot of love in 24 hours 🤗 and whilst I’ve been finding it very hard over the last 12 months with him getting older (and me getting older too) I’m so thankful I have had so many years to spend devoted solely to him and his activities (when I was fortunate enough to be self employed and be his full time stay at home Mum). I think combined with Colin’s sense of humour, work ethic & relaxed approach to life, he is growing up into such a lovely young man. I am thankful every day for this time especially now that our life has changed so dramatically over the last 3 years.

It also goes without saying that my sister (and Steve her fiancé) has a LOT to do with how both my nephew and niece turned out 😉 She is amazing. I don’t think she knows just how wonderful she is. She is everything my Dad was. Empathetic, compassionate, funny, loving, adaptable and beyond resilient. I hope you know that Sue!! 🤗

So … Zoe, I think you are now an official Barbie girl 👧 and my doll room shall henceforth known as Zoe’s Room 😂😆🤣

Thank you Michelle @veryimportantbarbiestuff for largely filling my Play Drawer with dolls and clothes - these are perfect for occasions like this 💕 and even Ken got a look in 😉 and to @jess21361 for my amazing Barbie that all my nieces love!! Also @melissa_brbe_and_beau for my fashion packs! These are👌

It’s CLUBBING night for Shady and his old Uni pals …. they’ve gone to a Rewind Night at Triple D’s (the Dodgy Dance Disco) 🪩 🎶

This Uni Reunion is all thanks unknowingly to Michelle @veryimportantbarbiestuff 😆 because she SWAPSIED me all of these Ken’s (and their outfits!) - I knew as soon as they arrived they would make the BEST Shady Crew 😆😆

Creepy Craig (his eyes say it all) 😬
Tag-along Tony (no one actually knows who he is) 🤔
Naughty Nick 😈 (who bears a striking resemblance to Sean @shazdolls 😆)
Devious Danny 😏
The Ginger Ninja - “Andy” 🥷
AND Shady Grady - “Owen” 🧍‍♂️

😆🤣😂 Happy Saturday 🎉

“Gosh Bob … ANOTHER maintenance request!!!😠 We really need to get Owen to slow down 😮‍💨 We can’t take on any more kids our house is full as it is … I’m also not sure giving them coffee is helping!!!” 🤦🏼‍♀️

“Gee Barb, I’ve told you before, the kids go wild for the coffee!! It really is fire in their bellies before our Little League matches! Even the babies love it!! ☕️ ⚽️ 🥅 As for Owen, I’ve told you before, you have to let him make his own mistakes … eventually he will find the right one and settle down. In the meantime we’ve got 2 sold little league teams and subs … 🤩”

Shady Senior (Bob) and Shadiest Mom (Barb) are joining Cassie @mimis_dolls_world for #dollcoffeeshopsundays ☕️ 😆

Envelope (✉️ mail ) is made by Winda at @budgetshopdolls and was GIFTED 🤗

Red mail box is from Temu and came with some tiny parcels 📦 🥹 I think it was under £2.50! (See below for GIFTED details).

Tray of coffee was a bargain buy at £2.44 off @temu - it comes completely full and all cups are removable - GIFTED (this came from the Temu haul I did a while back that was gifted by a lovely friend 🥹🥹 thank you!)

Ok so I have to admit I’m a little in love with these two 🥹 Don’t they make the cutest couple? Shady Senior and Shadiest Mom. I am also really impressed with their quality (doll and outfit). This is the first Barbie I have with the closed “grasping” hand - have they gotten wise to all the IT doll hand swaps everyone has been doing? 😆 I still haven’t sussed how to get them off 😆🤣😅

Shady Senior

A hardworking family man and local little league coach ⚽️ Oddly over half of his team bear a striking resemblance to his son Shady 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️ Always there to offer advice which is usually ignored. Only wants the best for his son and has supported him on many of his business ventures (however dubious they were).🤨

Shadiest Mom

Do not cross Shady’s Shadiest Mom ❌ She’s head strong, focussed, driven and takes no prisoners. Always there to fight her son’s corner but likewise is always first to point out his flaws (and she believes there are many!) She is well aware of his antics and is the self assigned manager for any potential child maintenance claims 😉

What’s that? Another NEW SHADY FAMILY MEMBER COMING SOON! 😏
