Motorcycles are supposed to make you feel something. This one made me feel all the things. Ripped the @buell.motorcycles Super Cruiser to Cooperstown on assignment for @ridermag. Swung a bat in anger for the first time since I was sixteen. Saw water and leaves falling. Rode past sunflower fields and spooky cemeteries. And then left my mark on the state of New York. 📸 @she_braaps

Motorcycle pants that don’t look like motorcycle pants? 👀 We recently tested the Wind & Throttle Lara Cargo Motorcycle Pants, and these surprised me in a few ways. At first glance, they look like a pair of stylish cargo pants you could wear just about anywhere. But underneath that casual exterior is some serious riding protection. They use a three-layer construction: an outer layer for the everyday look, a middle Kevlar layer for abrasion protection, and an inner mesh layer for comfort. The Lara Cargos carry a CE Certified A rating and come with CE Level 2 armor in the knees and hips. The knee armor pockets are adjustable, too, so you can position the armor where it actually needs to be. A few other things we really appreciated: • Curvy-friendly fit with room through the hips • XXS–5XL sizing • Petite, regular, AND tall inseam options • Double waist cinches on both sides — which helps eliminate that annoying waistband gap if you have wider hips and a smaller waist • Pockets! • Articulated construction for movement on the bike • A little stretch so they don’t feel as stiff as you might expect from heavier protective pants. These are substantial pants. That added construction is great when temperatures drop, but in a Tennessee summer, we definitely noticed the lack of airflow. If you’re looking for an ultra-lightweight, highly ventilated pant for riding in 95° heat and humidity, these probably wouldn’t be our first choice. Where we think they make a LOT more sense? Spring, fall, cooler mornings, shoulder-season riding, and touring. The extra weight that feels like a downside in the heat becomes a benefit when the temperature drops — especially when you’re putting in long miles. We love the idea of a riding pant that doesn’t scream MOTORCYCLE GEAR when you get off the bike. These can take you from the motorcycle to lunch, exploring a town, or hanging out at your destination without immediately looking like you’re wearing armored riding pants. 💰 $285 👖 @windandthrottle 📖 @ridermag Sept '26 Issue

BABES DEADWOOD Day 3 Recap: Save the best for Last Another early morning as we hit the highway at 9am and drove East as far as our gas tanks would take us. 🏍️ After fuelling up, our first stop was to feed the Prairie Dogs at the Ranch Store 🥜 These little cuties might just be my new favourite animal 🫶 Next stop: Mars 🪐 Entering The Badlands National Park is seriously like travelling thru a portal into another world. Driving through these towering rock formations is one of the most spectacular things I’ve ever seen with my eyeballs and moved me to tears for the second time on this trip.🥲 The blue sky backdrop and the bright midday sunlight turns the fossilized ancient soils of the Yellow Mounds rock formations into giant scoops of rainbow sherbet. 🌈 I’m so grateful that I got to experience it for the first time from behind the handlebars of a motorcycle with the wind in my face and wraparound panoramic views.🤩 It’s not until your feet touch the ground do you realise: hey! This is actually planet Earth! It was hotter than the devils asshole out there, so we ducked into the town of Wall to catch some shade, and some lunch the AC before making the 100 mile journey back to Deadwood. 🛣️ We arrived just in time to catch the Old West re-enactment of “The Shooting of Wild Bill” on Main Street. It was high drama as gunfire and lightning popped off simultaneously under black ominous skies storm ⛈️ Saturday night was “choose your own adventure” as the party bus dropped off the after-hours crew back in Deadwood, to partake in ghost tours, slot machines, karaoke or burlesque shows - where we found ourselves upstairs in a packed theatre catching the season finale performance of Sinsational 💃🏻 “And… scene!” 🎬

If you ride motorcycles, you've got to make your way to the Alps for a ride. I've been lucky enough to ride in some beautiful places but the combination of twisty roads, epic scenery, and rich cultures you experience when traveling through the small villages high in the Alps has this trip near or at the top of the list. If you're interested in checking out all the best roads in Europe, call Uwe at @lilli.tours and get ready for the best motorcycling you can experience anywhere!

The Honda CBR500R proves first impressions aren’t always right… "After a couple hours of riding, I was surprised that I felt no fatigue or desire to stop and stretch my legs. The seat isn’t overly plush, but there were no pressure points that felt sore after time in the saddle. Without having to worry about my physical comfort, I was able to focus on the ride and enjoy my time on the bike for the full 5-hour trip." Allison's review of the 2026 Honda CBR500R just hit the Rider Magazine website and YouTube! Go check it out, and let us know... Would you buy it? 📸 @she_braaps 🖊 Allison Parker 🏍️ @honda_powersports_us 2026 CBR500R

Last fall, we spent a week in Costa Rica with a group of friends. You can now read the story of our Pura Vida experience in the July issue of @ridermag ❤️ Orchid gardens! Curious cows @justindawes in a moment of deep contemplation. He was probably thinking we should have ridden through the river instead of over the bridge! Tiny orchids hang from a tree. Sloth in action! Riding with friends. @doktor_orange @justindawes @jonathanherrold Caleb giving the universal symbol of approval. Arenal Volcano! Cacao! Different kind of powerline trails here. Energy access roads.
