POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Over 30 years of friendship and 19 years since me and @she_dazles last saw each other.

The last time wasn’t a proper goodbye. It was sudden. It was sad. It was one of those moments in life that changes things before you’re ready for them to change.

So to sit across from each other 19 years later felt like a gift.

What surprised me most wasn’t how much had changed, but how little had. Within minutes, we were laughing the same way, and finishing each other’s thoughts like we’d only been apart for a few weeks instead of nearly two decades.

Maybe social media helped us stay connected. Maybe real friendship just works like that.

We left each other as teenagers and met again as women with families, children, responsibilities, stories, victories, losses, and so much life lived in between.

There is something incredibly special about being known by someone who remembers your beginning. Someone who knew you before the job titles, before the responsibilities, before adulthood arrived. Someone who knows your history, your humour, your heart, and can celebrate who you’ve become without ever making you feel trapped by who you were.

Some friendships don’t need constant proximity to survive. They simply wait for the right moment to pick up exactly where they left off.

Thirty years of friendship. Nineteen years apart.

And somehow, it still felt like coming home. ❤️
