✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨

Our ninth senior in the spotlight this season is Shea Taylor. Shea has been playing volleyball since second grade, playing for Altitude during club season. She started out as an outside hitter and is now playing right side. Shea moved here the summer before her Sophomore year and said she was so blessed to have teammates that made her time at Liberty so great. Shea wanted to give a shoutout to her family and boyfriend for supporting her at every single one of her games and always cheering her on.

What’s your favorite memory from playing this sport?
- “I have made too many memories with this team and this program to only single out one. Over the last few years, I have enjoyed our team bondings, the bus rides, our trips to UNC and Wyoming, and celebrating exciting wins.“

What will you miss most about this team?
- “I will miss practice and game days with this team. I know I will not lose the relationships that I have created with each teammate over these years, but I will miss playing volleyball with them everyday. I am thankful that I have been given the opportunity to play with each and every single one of these girls, and I will miss being on the court with them.”

What advice would you give to upcoming players?
- “I would tell upcoming players to never give up, and don’t take anything for granted. There will be times where you are tired or unmotivated, but it is worth it to keep going for yourself and your team. These years have gone by quick, and I would tell upcoming players to be thankful for every moment they get.”

What was your biggest takeaway from your time at Liberty High School?
- “My biggest takeaway from this program has been knowing that if you have a supportive team, you can get through anything. When I moved here my sophomore year, I didn’t know anyone and was so thankful that I stepped into a welcoming environment with supportive girls that helped me through anything.”

What do you plan to study in college?
- “I plan to study Criminology along with Pre-Law at CU Boulder. I hope to attend law school and become a criminal defense attorney.”
