Black entrepreneurship isn’t just business—it’s legacy, resilience, and ownership. Every step forward is built on generations who refused to quit. We’re not just creating income, we’re creating impact. ✊🏾🔥

Today for #BlackBusinessMonth, we're highlighting #BECMAMember Shary Browne, founder of Shea Butter Smoothies (@sheabuttersmoothies).

From a folding table in Mattapan with three flavors to two locations in Boston, Shea Butter Smoothies was built on the belief that everyone deserves access to food that fuels them.

Shary started the business in 2017 after adopting a smoothie diet and realizing she couldn't find a local spot in Boston that offered the healthier options she was looking for. So, she built one herself.

She started with three flavors, sample cups, and a folding table in Mattapan, asking people to take a sip. One sale turned into $50, then $100, and eventually enough to leave her 9-to-5 and build the business full-time. After COVID forced her to rebuild, she continued growing Shea Butter Smoothies into the two Boston locations it has today.

From smoothies and bowls to fresh juices, Shea Butter Smoothies focuses on real ingredients and intentional choices that help people feel their best.

🥤✨ Come with me to check out @sheabuttersmoothies From fresh-pressed juices and smoothies to smoothie bowls, wellness shots, protein snacks, and more, they have so many fresh + healthy options to choose from. 💚

I also loved all the little touches, cucumber water when you walk in, games to play, books for the kiddos, and even a summer menu! ☀️

And of course, I had to try a smoothie… and it was SO fresh and yummy! 😍🥤

If you’re in the area, definitely add Shea Butter Smoothies to your list! 💚

L’Union fait la Force — Unity Makes Strength.
Our 3rd Feeding the Homeless; We were blessed to give meals, essential items, time, care, and most importantly, show up for people in our community.
To everyone who poured into this, through donations, time, preparation, volunteering & support; thank you. None of this happens because of one person. It happens when people come together with a shared purpose.
Each time we do this, we want to grow; not just in how many people we reach, but in how much we are able to give & the ways we can be of service.
I will continue working to put ourselves in a position where we can do more of this work, give back more, and bring more people together along the way.
