A few frames from a Bell TV show we started filming over 2 years ago: Halifax Homicide S2

Trying to be better this year about showing the work. Not only the finished thing but the moments and the people behind it.
Deeply grateful for the talented, kind, and hard working collaborators I get to learn from on every project. A lot more to share!

Back home in Moncton today after 3 weeks working with these lovely people, cast and crew alike, on a new tv show for Swearnet.com. I’m sure I missed a few people in the pictures (bad millennial! You waited until the last day to take pictures?! Smh…) but the first photo captures most of the main cast, except @robbievino and my fellow New Brunswicker @jamesmullinger. It was a privilege to work for so many days on this project, everyone was so dedicated to the work and bringing this goofy story to life.

Getting to be in this show reminds me that the right opportunities find you. That’s not to say “wait around for things,” but when you are trying for projects and getting involved in the arts, the projects that work out are usually the ones where you fit with a certain ease for some reason, and the experience often shows you why, usually a part of yourself that always existed that you needed to discover. I’ve been learning over the past couple years, to my surprise, that comedic roles/worlds and ones that require lots of personality/energy are a very natural fit - I would never have guessed this, nor do most people I meet upon first impression! But it delights me and I love the direction my career is taking since this revelation! It gives me hope and drive for the next project, whatever it may be.

I’m currently basking in a post-adventure calm, celebration for a cool opportunity completed, gratitude for the interesting work I get to do and the fascinating people I get to meet… and a little fear for the future, if we’re being 100% honest, but that is normal!

My instagram is turning into a very intermittent diary. Captains log, star date… 3?
