A little GOOD LUCK in a very good place. 💙

Last week @joannapaige and I celebrated the launch of @impact.magazine.sav latest magazine surrounded by art, friends, and some of my favorite people. #girlgangassembled

It’s still a little surreal seeing my ceramic work living in the beautiful @thompsonsavannahga , but I'm feeling pretty lucky to have a small corner of this space to call my own.

GOOD LUCK is on view at the Thompson Savannah through January. Go check it out! ✨

Artist Spotlight | @sheaslemmer
✨
We’re proud to showcase the work of Shea Slemmer, an artist whose oil paintings are rooted in sensory experience and personal exploration. Drawing inspiration from the natural world and the places she has lived and worked, her compositions feel both intimate and expansive — balancing softness with strength.

At The Middleton, her artwork brings warmth and depth to our historic space, creating moments of pause and connection for guests as they move through the hotel. Each piece reflects our belief that art should be lived with, not simply viewed.

Oil on canvas

Welcome @sheaslemmer

Shea Slemmer grew up in the pastoral horse country of Ocala, Florida. After receiving her BFA from UNF in Jacksonville, she set up a studio in Savannah, and has also worked in New York and Marfa, Texas. Slemmer ties her work to process with a direct connection to the five senses. Working mostly in oil on canvas, the paintings she produces are products of the everyday—a tangible roadmap of her personal experiences. Slemmer’s works can be found in collections across the United States and Europe. Her recent solo exhibitions include Sweet Lorraine Gallery in Brooklyn, NY and The Telfair Museum in Savannah, GA. She has been published in Studio Visit Magazine, Atomic Ranch, Savannah Magazine and The South Magazine.

Of her work Slemmer says,
“I am interested in moments of clarity. Those specific instances when I don’t know if I am dreaming or wide awake. Much like a map maker, I look for patterns and pathways and record them as a reminder of what nature can teach. These markers tell a story of my healing journey and my hope is that they form bridges to reinforce our connectedness. We are all the same, after all.”
