“When you believe in the power of people, root yourself in what is good, and refuse payouts or brand deals that sell out your company’s soul, you create the conditions to connect organically with real artists and true patrons of the human experience.” It is the American government’s biggest fear that we will realize our collective and individual power. And that is precisely why it’s such an honor to speak on @gutinstinctmediaco & my incredible team. On the importance of grassroots movements, the mission of Gut Instinct, & my love for media, my interview with my old friends at @canvasrebel is live now.

Meet @shebel0ngsinadream, our newest staff illustrator & animator! 🦋 For these pieces, Evie started with a little inspiration from her muse for this (@nataliekmccarty 👀), looking through photos, daydreaming, and imagining the visuals before putting pencil to paper. From there, she built each piece layer by layer, starting with pencil sketches, then watercolors and fine liner for the characters and background details. 🌷 But the process doesn’t stop there! Evie also brought in 3D elements, creating two tiny plasticine flowers for the grass before photographing the pieces and combining everything digitally in Procreate. Once she had the still images just right, she added another layer of magic: movement. With tiny animations woven into each piece, the characters and their worlds start to come alive. “I love seeing my characters and worlds come to life, even with the tiniest movements. I think it’s so effective!” We’re so excited to have Evie bringing her illustrations, animations, and wonderfully imaginative process to the team. 🌸
