As I sit back and replay this weekend in my mind, I can’t help but smile. Every hug, every laugh, every prayer, every conversation… it reminded me that God has a way of confirming you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Thank you to everyone who took time out of your busy lives to celebrate this milestone with me. You didn’t have to, but you did, and I’ll never take genuine love for granted.

I’m simply trying to become a better version of the woman God called me to be yesterday. That’s the only race I’m running.

Years ago, I stopped forcing, chasing acceptance, and holding on to people, places, and things that no longer served the direction God was taking me. Obedience will cost you some things… but what God gives you in return can’t be compared. He has a way of aligning the right people, the right opportunities, and the right season at exactly the right time. You don’t have to manipulate what God has already ordained.

This weekend wasn’t just about celebrating my doctoral acceptance. I was reminded that peace is priceless, obedience is worth it, and the people God assigns to your life will celebrate you without needing to be convinced. A few of my people are missing due to unforeseen circumstances, but your presence was felt and I can’t wait to celebrate big and I’m happy to do life with not only the people I love but those who love me in return.

Here’s to becoming Dr. Kristi B. One step closer. And here’s to protecting the peace God gave me. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🤍

Grateful is an understatement.
Tonight, my friends celebrated a milestone that means more to me than I can put into words. Thank you to everyone who showed up, poured into me, and celebrated this next chapter of my journey toward becoming Dr. Kristi B. Your presence was a gift I will never forget.

I’m in a season of my life where I only want to be surrounded by people who are genuine. People who love without conditions, support without expectations, and celebrate without hidden motives.. I value people whose actions match their words, and this weekend reminded me that those kinds of relationships still exist.

A special s/o you to my best friend, Brandon. Thank you for always showing up, always making sure everything comes together, and for being the kind of friend who celebrates me just as hard as I celebrate others. I appreciate you more than you know.

And to my sweet friend who was on her way, but couldn’t make it because of unexpected car trouble, please know your absence didn’t change your presence. I felt your love, your support, and your heart from a distance, and that meant just as much to me.

Here’s to the next chapter. One step closer to the finish line, and surrounded by people who make the journey even more meaningful. My heart is full. Thank you all. 🤍
