To give a little context, I am a whitetail guy. This is the first elk shed I’ve ever found, I was 19 years old, and I just decided to hike into an unfamiliar and unforgiving mountain range by myself.

With time to kill, no prior scouting, pressured area, I just tried to figure it out. Sure enough, I found a pretty good one for my first ever.

Finding elk sheds gives me a feeling like no other. It fuels my soul. It’s a drug you cannot buy. I can’t necessarily explain why I get so excited and feel the need to celebrate like a little kid on Christmas, but I do know that I’ll never forget each and every time I get this feeling.

Luck? 100%

Did this make my day? Absolutely.

Hooked? For Life.

True giant moose paddles can weigh near 60lbs per paddle. This set I would say weighs at least 35/45lbs each. Remarkable animals and even tastier eating.
