Johnny learning to use the “Jupiter Magnification Device” at school. This device magnifies anything from objects to print and can even be used as a mirror to aid someone who is visually impaired in having a closer and more clear view.
.
We feel really really fortunate and grateful that he is being exposed to these support technologies so early. @blindchildrenscenter has been the single most impactful program in our lives - regarding VI.
.
This technology is available through @americanprintinghouse but runs appx $3600. VI is one of the more expensive disabilities to support since many of the advances come in the form of expensive tech. 🤍

PD: picture of young blonde toddler wearing a dark blue shirt sleeve T-shirt. He is sitting at a desk table with a monitor in front of him. He has a small bowl of play food behind the monitor which sits underneath a camera that magnifies the bowl. The zoomed image of the bowls contents is displayed on the monitor and the child is looking intently at it. There is a sign on the table that says, “Jupiter Magnification Device” in both English and Spanish. picture of young blonde toddler wearing a dark blue shirt sleeve T-shirt.
