It is also Halloween this weekend in case you didn't know, so this week's guest round is pumpkin carving! Each team will get one pumpkin and some tools and the winner gets an extra 5 points on the quiz.

We kindly ask that you leave your lovely creations behind for us to use as Halloween decorations for this weekend, 20 pumpkins is well expensive.

Freshers’ Representative Applicants!! 🥳

Thank you so much to everyone who applied! Our EGM will be on October 27th in BarOne from 20:15. Well vote for the position, so feel free to bring along your friends. See you there!!

Heya! I’m Lois, I’m obsessed with theatre and philosophy. I am extremely passionate listening to and learning from the views of others, so I’d love to be a representative for my fellow freshers.

A fun fact about me is I once deliberately trapped myself in a water slide... I was tricked into doing so.

Hi, I’m Freddie :) I study English and Philosophy, but I prefer the philosophy side because I don’t know how to read. I’m a very warm and welcoming person, and I would be proud to be a voice for you all! Fun fact about me: I’ve been arrested by the UN.

I’m a Sheffield local who loves all things theatre and writing a psych triller with themes of ethics and epistemology.

Thank you so much to everyone who applied! Our EGM will be on October 27th in BarOne from 20:15. Well vote for the position, so feel free to bring along your friends. See you there!!

One year of Computer Science down, three more to go! 🎓

I’ve just started my second year at the University of Sheffield, so I thought I’d share five things I’ve learned from my first year.

From getting stuck into personal projects to realising there’s a lot more maths involved than I expected, it’s definitely been a learning experience!

Still plenty to figure out, but I’m looking forward to seeing what second year brings. 🚀

💬 If you’re studying CS (or any degree!), what’s one thing you wish you’d known before starting uni?
