@landony96 said it best. Sometimes when we are in the storm we can’t see what beauty is around us. My 21st year was just that. For what felt like the longest time, I woke up everyday wishing that day would just be over and the next I would magically wake up to a joyful day. I mean I cried myself to sleep most days for months on end. Eventually the tears to sleep stopped, I want to say around late February to early March. Eventually I began to see just a glimpse of hope, a glimpse of Gods sovereignty. Our God is mighty. Our God brings strength to the weak and slowly in his perfect time the joy began to return and I began to see the Lord in it all. As I lay in bed tonight knowing the chapter of 21 year old Isabelle is gone I look forward with much joy and hope for what’s to come. At the same time look back at the past year with joyful teary eyes and say WHAT A GOD!!! There is no earthly explanation as to how I have the privilege of living the life I am today other than Jesus! My quiet prayer is that in the 22nd year of my life I get to praise Jesus with all that I have, wholeheartedly, and without distraction! My storm may have been great but the sunset after was worth it all.
