Shelby Handler(@shelbeleh )is a writer and organizer with Jewish Voice for Peace. Recent work has appeared in and or is forthcoming in Best New Poets, Prairie Schooner, Poetry, The Iowa Review, Gulf Coast, Poetry Northwest, The Massachusetts Review, Four Way Review, among others.

After more than 60 years, Poetry Northwest (@poetrynw )remains committed to publishing the best in contemporary poetry, especially work willing to take risks and push readers to the emotional and intellectual edge of what poetry makes possible. We hope you’ll find insights into organizing your own campaigns while hearing about the strategies and wins in Washington, where a small but mighty team used an inside-outside strategy and coalition building with labor unions, environmental activists, and other grassroots groups to successfully pressure the Washington State Treasurer's Office to divest from Caterpillar, resulting in the sale of $62 million in bonds.

We cap the season with a poem by JVP staffer and organizer @shelbeleh honoring movements for justice.
