One thing @piercebrownofficial is super consistent about in Red Rising, R*PE is NEVER okay. NEVER!

It’s disgusting we live in a world where the statistics show a numbness to r*pe. Almost 1 in 2 women are victims of sexual assault. 1 in 5 of r*pe. NOT OKAY. #bookstagram #redrising

Alchemised is one! Raise your hand if you’ve been victimized by Sen MULTIPLE times! The history of this story and how it was recreated and given to us is so special to me. The focus on war, women, and immigrants makes it such an important discussion in this day and age! If you haven’t read it yet, get to it!

It’s a day late (because my life has been absolutely MENTAL for the last three days and my brain is now officially just decorative 🤣🫠) but HAPPY RELEASE DAY to @senlinyuwrites for the absolute masterpiece that is Alchemised!! 🖤✨📖

I read Manacled a few years ago and did the completely unthinkable for me… I FINISHED IT AND IMMEDIATELY REREAD IT 😳😂 And just to be clear… that had NEVER happened before, and I’m not entirely convinced it’ll ever happen again! 🤣

So when Alchemised came out, I was convinced I wouldn’t feel the same connection to the characters and that all the changes would mean it wouldn’t hit me in quite the same way…

HOW WRONG I WAS. 🫠🖤

This book absolutely FLOORED me. I loved it more than I ever could have imagined, and honestly, it feels like it permanently altered my brain chemistry. I’m still not over it and I’m not sure I ever will be. 😂😭

If you haven’t read this yet, I IMPLORE you to pick it up as soon as you possibly can. You are seriously missing out!! 🖤✨

Also… this is NOT my full Alchemised collection 👀😂 That little problem deserves a whole post of its own, so that’s coming soon! But for now, here are some of my absolute favourites… and don’t forget to swipe to see the final copy! 🖤📚✨

QOTD: What book has left a permanent mark on you? 🥹📖 And which edition in this stack is your favourite? 👀🖤
