POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The story of my golden staircase. I’ve been scouring the archives for some before shots. There’s a little glimpse of the crackden chic vibe with lived with for so long.
I’m ready to decorate again, do you think I can persuade #PoorTim?

Beautiful door entrances and hallways ❤️ I have tagged as many accounts in the photos as I can but if you see any that you know that haven't been tagged please comment below to tag them as I can only share photos from Pinterest now not directly from Instagram and the photos don't always have the name of the person or account it belongs too. I have tagged a couple of door company's that I follow as well just incase any of the doors were bought from them or if anyone is looking for something similar 😊❤️ #doors #doorways #entrancedecor #hallway #stairway #floortiles #periodhomesofinsta #frontdoors #homeinspo #periodliving

Before we really dive into new/old ways to use gold in the home, here’s a moodboard from the archive! Cupboard fronts, stair risers, wallpaper, shower stalls. Find the right hue and it really can work anywhere. Not tacky at all. Classy and brassy instead. It’s all about the patina, not perfection. And I’m sure there’s a life lesson in that!

And then... one year ago, this was my last moodboard of the year... Gold. But a calm, measured brass gold not a shouty bling one. Weathered gold. One that’s seen some wear but’s still shining. In this way, such a warm metallic can add something very special to a home without overwhelming. No surprise then that it’s been something of a long stayer in the home trend charts, for the last five years or so, and set to continue. A metaphor for hope perhaps?

Once you go black, you can never go back 🖤
Once you go gold, you can never grow old 💛

Ok... I may have made the second line up 😉 maybe you have a better one....? I’m sure @_theleopardlounge_ could do better!
You see, I have serious gold stair envy!! I can’t decide which one of these two I like most; carpeted with gold edges by @raspberry_flavoured_windows or golden risers by @shellbirch - swipe left ☜
-
(during my research I came across the name for the triangular space under a flight of stairs ~ a “spandrel”. How glorious).
